Team representatives and scouts meet with many players leading up to the 2025 NFL draft. These meetings can be formal or informal and can take place at All-Star games, the NFL Scouting Combine, during a Pro Day, or a top-30 visit.

Like every NFL franchise, the Tennessee Titans are gathering information on a lot of prospects that could make their way to the draft board. Zach Lyons reports that the Titans' scouts met with Cal linebacker Teddye Buchanan at his Pro Day.

Buchanan is a Day 3 prospect and may not be a household name, but does hold value for the team that selects him. A stout run defender, he is more cerebral than athletic and consistently wins with his intelligence. He does lack the athleticism to be a full-time starter in the NFL and could be a liability in man-to-man pass coverage, but he has the instincts and enough speed to read and react in zone.

He's a high-floor, low-ceiling prospect who could step in on Day 1 and be a core special teamer and work his way up into a depth role on defense.

The Titans are revamping their inside linebacker group and building it around free-agent acquisition Cody Barton. With three young inside linebackers already in the room, Tennessee could be looking to add depth and special teams value in the later rounds, and Buchanan fits that mold.
