The first round of the 2025 NFL draft is in the books. Shocking trades, historic selections, and tons of entertainment were provided throughout the event's kickoff night.
While teams found impactful contributors in the first round, the work continues with the second and third rounds, where there are still some top prospects on the board, including cornerback Will Johnson, edge rusher Mike Green, safety Nick Emmanwori and running back TreVeyon Henderson. But the most prominent is Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who will surely be the main topic of conversation heading into Day 2.
Rounds 2 and 3, historically, pump out players who make a major impact in the NFL. This year should be no different. With that in mind, we're predicting how Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft will unfold:
33. Cleveland Browns - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
34. Houston Texans - Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
35. Tennessee Titans - Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
36. Cleveland Browns - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
37. Las Vegas Raiders - Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
38. New England Patriots - Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford
39. Chicago Bears - Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State
40. New Orleans Saints - Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State
41. Chicago Bears - Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
42. New York Jets - Jack Bech, WR, TCU
43. San Francisco 49ers - Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame
44. Dallas Cowboys - Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
45. Indianapolis Colts - Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
46. Los Angeles Rams - Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
47. Arizona Cardinals - Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State
48. Miami Dolphins - Omarr Norman-Lott, DL, Tennessee
49. Cincinnati Bengals - Demetrius Knight Jr., LB, South Carolina
50. Seattle Seahawks - Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas
51. Denver Broncos - Darius Alexander, DL, Toledo
52. Seattle Seahawks - Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSU
53. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
54. Green Bay Packers - JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State
55. Los Angeles Chargers - Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami
56. Buffalo Bills - Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA
57. Carolina Panthers - Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State
58. Houston Texans - Wyatt Milum, T, West Virginia
59. Baltimore Ravens - Jared Ivey, EDGE, Ole Miss
60. Detroit Lions - Kyle Williams, WR, Washington State
61. Washington Commanders - Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State
62. Buffalo Bulls - Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas
63. Kansas City Chiefs - TJ Sanders, DL, South Carolina
64. Philadelphia Eagles - Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
Nobody expected Sanders to make it to the second round, but he didn't have to wait long in this mock. The first pick of the second round belongs to the Cleveland Browns, who finally appear to be done with Deshaun Watson. Unless they want Joe Flacco to be their guy, Sanders may be a risk worth taking now that it wouldn't cost a first.
There is a chance that a lot of wide receivers and skilled position players find homes in the second round. With the way that the first round went (lots of defense and linemen), it wouldn't be a surprise to see it unfold this way.
Another notable pick in this round is Mike Green, who went undrafted on day one. Marshall's edge rusher has some off-the-field issues that may have caused him to fall, but he's a wildly talented football player. Some team will take a chance on him.
65. New York Giants - Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee
66. Kansas City Chiefs - Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa
67. Cleveland Browns - Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State
68. Las Vegas Raiders - Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State
69. New England Patriots - TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State
70. Jacksonville Jaguars - Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami
71. New Orleans Saints - RJ Harvey, RB, UCF
72. Chicago Bears - Tate Ratledge, G, Georgia
73. New York Jets - Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
74. Carolina Panthers - CJ West, DL, Indiana
75. San Francisco 49ers - Aireontae Ersery, T, Minnesota
76. Dallas Cowboys - Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State
77. New England Patriots - Damien Martinez, RB, Miami
78. Arizona Cardinals - Lathan Ransom, S, Ohio State
79. Houston Texans - Alfred Collins, DL, Texas
80. Indianapolis Colts - Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
81. Cincinnati Bengals - Oluwafemi Oladejo, EDGE, UCLA
82. Seattle Seahawks - Josaiah Stewart, EDGE, Michigan
83. Pittsburgh Steelers - Ozzy Trapilo, T, Boston College
84. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Kyle Kennard, EDGE, South Carolina
85. Denver Broncos - DJ Giddens, RB, Kansas State
86. Los Angeles Chargers - Shemar Turner, DL, Texas A&M
87. Green Bay Packers - Chris Paul Jr, LB, Ole Miss
88. Jacksonville Jaguars - Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon
89. Houston Texans - Marcus Mbow, T, Purdue
90. Los Angeles Rams - Jonah Savaiinaea, T, Arizona
91. Baltimore Ravens - Jonas Sanker, S, Virginia
92. Seattle Seahawks - Elijah Roberts, EDGE, SMU
93. New Orleans Saints - Vernon Broughton, DL, Texas
94. Cleveland Browns - Cameron Williams, T, Texas
95. Kansas City Chiefs - Sai'vion Jones, EDGE, LSU
96. Philadelphia Eagles - Savion Williams, WR, TCU
97. Minnesota Vikings - Charles Grant, T, William & Mary
98. Miami Dolphins - Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State
99. Houston Texans - Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas
100. San Francisco 49ers, Tyler Batty, EDGE, BYU
101. Los Angeles Rams - Harold Fannin Jr, TE, Bowling Green
102. Detroit Lions - Ashton Gillotte, EDGE, Louisville
This is the round where you see teams take some high-risk chances. Edge rushers, running backs, and offensive linemen who are wildly talented but need more seasoning are selected here. The good NFL teams will find themselves stars at this stage of the game. Championships can be won by succeeding in the third and later rounds.
A running back like Kaleb Johnson going to the Chiefs would be great for him. A talented player in Andy Reid's offense with Patrick Mahomes under center could thrive because of the situation.
As for offensive linemen like Aireontae Ersery and Tate Ratledge, they are going to go to teams on day two in the hope of being pillars on their lines. Protecting the quarterback is one of the most important aspects of football, and these guys have the tools to make an impact.
Will any trades be made to impact these selections? You can almost bet on it. Maybe the Browns pass on Sanders, and another team trades up to take a chance. Will any other quarterbacks be selected on day two? Fans will be able to find out tonight.
