There will be a grand total of 21 former Longhorns working out in front of scouts for Texas Pro Day. The event at the Texas Football Training Facility (bubble) on the UT campus will take place on Tuesday and will air live on the SEC Network from 1-4 p.m. CT.
NFL prospects will take part in events including the vertical jump, broad jump and bench press along with a 40-yard dash and agility drills (pro, three-cone, 60 shuttle). The athletes will then break up into position drills.
The Longhorns had a program record 14 players take part in the NFL Scouting Combine from Feb. 27-March 2 in Indianapolis, tied for the second-most of any program (Ohio State, 15). Several Longhorns made impressions on the gathered NFL scouts including four that ran sub-4.4 in the 40-yard dash. The four include Matthew Golden, 4.29; Jaydon Blue, 4.38; Jahdae Barron, 4.39 and Isaiah Bond, 4.39.
Quinn Ewers had a positive workout in Indianapolis. The former starting quarterback will be looking to make an even bigger impression on Tuesday.
The 2025 NFL Draft will take place Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 26, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc. ABC, ESPN, NFL Network and ESPN Deportes will all have live coverage throughout the draft.
