Only fun part of the Super Bowl was hearing the 24 beep boop again.

Was it terrorists threaten to blow something up? That's the plotline for every season that I can remember.

The 24 drinking game was the best. Take a shot, or drink, anytime someone says "What?". :D

Then you did't watch the show because season 1 had nothing to do with terrorists blowing anything up. The plot in season 1 was someone trying to assassinate then presidential candidate David Palmer. And a real fan of 24 would have a drinking game where you took a shot every time Jack said "Dammit!".

I'm going to disagree. I thought in seasons 6-7 after adding the Renee Walker character really made it interesting again.

But yeah, Haysbert as prez in season 1-2 was the best president by far. His wife character was a total bitch and that was fun.

Palmer was only president in season 2. He was a candidate in season 1.

Is nobody excited? Tonight is the premiere!

I'm DVR'ing the whole series. I'll probably watch later tonight or tomorrow.

I still have a grudge against the writers for killing off the Renee Walker character.

Agree on both points.

Audrey is a character I could have gone the rest of my life w/o seeing again. She reminds me of my ex-wife. Too bad about agent Freckles not being on either. Otherwise pretty good. Always plenty of action.

They had to bring 'some' people back and they killed off most of the good ones. Great show so far though.

Well, at series end the only one's from the first season left standing are Jack, Tony, and Kim. Chloe didn't show up until season 3 but her, Audrey, and the 3 I named are the only one's left from the series finale. Also, anyone see the confirmed kills by Jack on Boudreau's computer? I saw some names I recognized like Nina Myers, the Drazen's, and Curtis.

I only briefly saw the Drazens.

probably all depends on how good or bad their new shows do this season. So far, they've had disasterous results with Red Band Society/Gracepoint, and Sleepy Hollow's wayyyy down, with only Gotham being successful so far. Makes another season look solid for 24.

It certainly makes for an intriguing precursor to a season 10. I can imagine an intriguing plot of Tony meeting up with Kate and Chloe to break Jack out of Russian prison.

On an interesting note, the handler that Diaz calls is Xander Berkley, whose character George Mason died in a nuclear explosion in Valencia in season 2. I'm thinking that's just stunt casting, because he was dying from radiation poisoning, crashed the plane he was in and was in the middle of the nuclear detonation. That's like Indiana Jones-level of survival.

As it turned out, I ending up liking Mason. I was bummed when they killed him off. One of my favorite moments of his was when he came out of the shadows on the doomed flight with Jack and he said something to the effect of 'Man, the service is lousy on this flight'

Only if he hid in an old school fridge. :D
