As the countdown to heading down Magnolia Lane continues, Golfweek is taking a look back at some Masters history through the years.

Today, it's time to examine the 2000 Masters and the significant milestones that occurred at Augusta National Golf Club that year.

Who won the 2000 Masters?​


Vijay Singh defeated Ernie Els by three shots to win his only Masters title. He shot the same score (139) in his first two rounds as he did the final two rounds. Singh excelled in blustery weekend conditions, including inclement weather during the third round. It was Singh's second major title.
