I can't get Daniel Jeremiah's Cam Jordan comp for Darius Robinson out of my head for our pick in round 2.
while mocks arent the bible -- i keep seeing him go prior to 27

the mocks seem to go mostly offense through 15 and then a run on defensive players start

I'd consider McConkey heavily in round 1 even tho they'll likely take a receiver before the 2nd 1st round pick. I'm a GA Bulldog so I am a bit biased, but McConkey is amazing and we need him before the Chiefs get him. They'll likely win a 3rd SB in a row if Mahomes has him. The Bengals proved a team can get to a SB if they can score points despite having an average D. There will still be good defensive players in round 2. Likely DT or CB more than a pass rusher.

I feel like #5 will not be available if the Cards try to trade up from 11. The Chargers will be too busy running to the podium to draft MHJ. Herbert would have a perennial all pro to throw to for the next 10 years.
I tend to agree. Their WR room is as bad as ours, and I dont think they are passing on one of the top 3 WR's.....certainly not the #1 player in the draft at #5.

I think if we trade down the target is Odunze, who I would be ok with.

100%. This guy is an absolute technician. He has all the little things nailed down. You can see the work he does in the weight room and film room.
If we could add Odunze and McConkey in round 1 via trade down, I would be happier than MHJ by himself.

Trade down with the Vikes, move back up with Odunze. Take McConkey at #24

Guys I like for these picks 27/35.

Byron Murphy (I think he will be gone but I also keep seeing him mocked in the 20s.
Darius Robinson
Kris Jenkins

Graham Barton
Jackson Powers-Johnson

Cooper DeJean
KoolAid McKinstry
Rakestraw (maybe)

Kingsley Saumataia

WR at either spot depends on what we do at 4.

Most of these players I like more at 35 than 27. It is one reason I would explore trading back at 27 or even up if a guy like Murphy is available in the late teens.

The hope for trading back from 27 is this.

A team wants to move up for an OT. (Mims, Guyton, Morgan)

A team wants to move up for Pennix (maybe Bo).

A team wants to move up for a WR (Ladd, Mitchell, Xavier Worthy)

Carolina moving up for a WR is very possible. Same with LAC.

Raiders may want to grab a QB.

So on and so forth.

I think there's an argument that someone also trades up for the last highly graded corner (Wiggins or McKinstry) as well. There will be teams whose top prospect at a position of need slipped a little bit.

TJ Tampa is a great fit for how Gannon uses his corner. Big guy who is outstanding in zone.
