I think it's a decent premise and I'd like to see how these latent afflictions play out in a repopulating society. Besides, the first one was absolutely grotesque and I'm anxious to see what will be done with a bigger budget....

So Danny Boyle is producing, but not directing, and it looks like it was done on regular 35mm or even HD, so it doesn't have the grainy quality to it. I would probably hesitate to see it except it has Robert Carlisle, who is a prototypical Danny Boyle actor, so now I may think about checking it out.

Thought it was a pretty decent sequel. Fresnadillo stayed true to Boyle's directing style. As with most sequels, there is a good amount of redundancy, but overall an enjoyable movie for that particular genre.

I watched this last night as part of my wife and I's horror movie bonanza and I enjoyed it. It was good, not great but entertaining.

did anyone notice when they were firebombing the city and the camera was in a helicopter like view of the city, the fire formed an image of george washingtons head? me and my gf both saw a face the first time but had to rewind to make out who it was.

It was okay. Not great, not very good, not horrible. Just okay.

Agreed, ya know it reminds me of the "Night/Return of the Living Dead" movies, which I enjoy because it's something you can watch and not worry about missing anything if ya leave the room to take a squeege

I thought the first movie was pretty good as a study of human character under extreme duress. This one didn't have the same feel as that and as such wasn't nearly as enjoyable. The firebombing scene was pretty cool though (and it had a great trailer with the Muse song).

I liked this one better than the first. Watched it on Bluray last night. These movies with the artificial "grain" that they put into the film...makes them feel like DVD quality, rather than HD.

Either way, the movies were enjoyable.

I liked the first one better, if we're talking story. If we're talking picture quality, I guess the 2nd one was better.

I just watched this. It was okay...I think they tried to parallel the feelings of guilt and anger contrasted with sacrifice and nobility, but they could have done it better...this felt like a strange vehicle for that message.

I liked the eye-part, how someone could just be a carrier. I liked it- decent rental.

Just watched it. Loved the first one. This was about what I expected, worth watching once.

I thought the score was outstanding, it really set the tone well.

Agreed, lots of redundancy.

This one definitely didn't have the same psychological feel to it.

So what's the next one going to be called, 28 weeks & 28 days later?

In a van...down by the river.
The sequel dissappointed me but i'd like to give it a second watch.
The original was better than just "ok", it was fantastic within it's genre IMO.
Artsy but gritty.
Aided by a hauntingly powerful soundtrack(where i discovered the world of Godspeed You Black Emperor!)
Complaining about the grainy texture because it doesn't best reflect in HD?
Come on...
Technique my brother.;)

Months, obviously.

I totally forgot that they flashed forward during the film. I don't remember how much though, I don't think it was two years.

I loved that last scene. I was reading that originally it wasn't in the film. They scrambled at the last minute to film it and add it.
