Statistically we were close in most categories. We made the interceptions and scored. The Wilson interception was really a great play. He goes high in the air to tip the ball up and then catches it and makes a nice run back. The other one our DB caught a bad throw and went all the way. Bad throws are not luck. It comes from pressure and other things happening on the field. We were the better team the way I saw it.

Sure we're the better team but we still needed an unusual fumble recovery in the endzone and an equally unusual kicking the ball penalty to win.

In the past the Rams defender would have controlled the ball in the endzone and the replay would have given the Rams the ball with a touchback. The officials would also have ruled that the Rams kicking of the ball was inadvertent, no penalty, time expired, no TD for the Cards.

PLEASE, explain.

What was soooo lucky about it ?

The fact we are down to our 4th string tackle and still was able to move the ball ?

The fact our starting QB was knocked out in the 1st quarter and our backup came in and did a great job ?

Was it the fact Edge was down by contact at the 1 yard line (we would have score anyway), or if you want to say he fumbled that Reggie Wells recovered the ball in the endzone anyway ?

Was it the fact that Bartell for the Rams intentionally kicked the ball with 3 seconds to go in the half ? (BTW, that is not luck that is cashing in on a stupid play by a Rams player)

Was it the phenominal play by Adrian Wilson for an INT ?

Or Rod Hood playing the right defense and being in position to pick Ferotte's pass for an INT ?

I see a game that our team gutted out, even through injury after injury, even after a slow start by both the offense and defense.

We BEAT the Rams. The were defeated by the Cardinals fair and square.

This "The Cardinals are lucky" line that is going around is complete B.S..

If the Cardinals are SOOOO lucky were the *$#@!$#* has this luck been for 20 years ? Cause I haven't seen it.

This team is playing great football, and the fact no one is giving them their due is an absolute joke.

After having to be on the other side of this comment I will say, "Maybe it is not that the Cardinals were lucky against the Rams (Seahawks, too) or maybe it is that fact that the Rams are just not a good team, and the Cardinals took advantage of thier oppourtunities."

Luck my big fat fanny.

If you can't see why Sunday's win was a lucky win there really is no use explaining it.

My only point is when the this kind of stuff happens against the Cardinals the explanation is we suck and that good teams get good breaks.

When it happens FOR the Cardinals is it we were lucky to be given a win.

It is a complete BS double standard.

The Rams got there "breaks" with blocked field goals, INT in the endzone, etc., etc. and did nothing with them. People are talking like the Cardinals were lucky to come out of St. Louis with a win.

I have watched the game twice, and the Rams are lucky to come out of that game without being blown out 44-23.

That explanation is bogus though. That kind of stuff happened to the Cardinals because they were the Cardinals. If it only happened for 3-4 years it could be explained by better teams making their own breaks. But not when it happened over a 50 year span.

BTW: I forgot to add that in prior seasons the TD pass to Fitz would have been called back by yet another phantom holding call and the Cards would have ended up settling for a FG.

:D
