Mettenberger in the 2nd rd is exactly why we never get a star. We need to trade up and get Bridgewater. Then with our Defense we have potential NFL title 2 years from now.
Easier said than done. Do you really think Houston or Jax is going to trade the opportunity to draft Bridgewater?

The price would be unbelievably high. I don't know if there would even be a trade they would consider.

Maybe if Derek Carr fall to 20, or into the teens, I make a move for him. But the Cards have as much a shot at Bridgewater as they do trading for Aaron Rodgers.

I'm pretty sure that CP stats and tendencies, to which the OP alludes to, were discussed ad nausum, 4K yards and TD/INT ratio being at or near equal in his time with the Radiers. Is CP an upgrade from the garbage we have seen trotted out over the past 2 years, yep. Is he a keeper of a QB, nope.

Yes I saw the 2 TDs and 1 Int while I was watching the game...I meant he threw as many Ints as TDs for the season, well just about. Ask any NFL analyst what the biggest problem was for AZ... I bet they say too many Ints by Palmer.
As I said before I don't wanna be ungrateful just better.

Actually the analysts are saying the Cardinals turned it around due to finally having an NFL caliber QB. Heard it most recently on today's broadcast.

What were Palmers numbers for the last 9 games? Would be willing to bet they would be pretty good, most of the bad games were at the beginning of the season before the offense learned what and where they were supposed to be, which is not all on Palmer. Once the offense starting coming around big reason we won 7 out of the last 9 and almost 8 if Feely doesn't single handidly cost us the game today!

Lol... serving up a facial to the OP....

setting any kind of record for this horrific franchise isn't really a facial for anyone. i mean...Skelton won 7 games back in 2011 as a starter, right? that's only three games less then "the record" of 10. 10 wins is nice and it's great for the Cardinals, but setting a "record" for this franchise doesn't really say all that much IMO.

First I wanna say I'm proud of this team even though we still won't get the respect we derserve.
Now 3 things;
1). Carson Palmer has to go... You wanna be mediocre then keep a mediocre QB. Please draft a QB in the first round.
2). Quit being stubborn BA! You kept a potential star inactive all season for a 3.1 ypc RB. Wow I can't believe a professional coach could be that stubborn and get away with it!
3) Use Fitzgerald like the star WR he is... What a waste of talent!
Goodwin / Arians get a clue!
Sorry those are my 3 glaring things that cost us a playoff berth.
Oh sorry 1 more...IMO PP is overrated!
Can't wait til next year!

Sorry, all three of your points have to go lol

Especially when it isn't the record. :D

I don't know fans but there were times today when I thought Double Dunce Skelton had stolen Palmer's uniform and was back out there playing for the Cardinals. Just some horrendous passes.

It took the Redskins 3 1st and a 2nd to trade up from 6 to 2 to get RG3. You think we can trade up from 20 to 1? It'd take 5 1sts. It's not happening.

So what's up with the picture of the guy who was a super star High School player? Is that who we should get to replace Palmer? At least the Cards would have great shoes.

:D

Sorry, all three of your points have to go lol

1) Palmers rating was 24th in the league (min 1200 yds passing)
He was tied for 30th in Ints thrown.
2) Mendenhall was 36th in the league in YPC avg (min 500 rush yds)
3) Fitzgerald had less than 1000 yds with a 4200 yd QB.
He didnt even lead the team in receiving yds.
He went from a top 5 pro bowl talent to top 15-20 WR
And no Pro Bowl

Feelys 2 misses cost us 6 pts. But Palmers pass into triple coverage intercepted by Bowman on our 22 yd line resulting in a Boldin TD had nothing to do with the loss. BA will tell you it wasn't his fault.

BTW game 15 (Seattle) would have been a loss if not for our D playing great.
Palmers 4 Ints (2 in the red zone) should have killed us.
But again probably not his fault and overshadowed by 1 good TD pass at the end of the game.
If we're to beat SF and Seattle next year this can't happen, unfortunately our division will not get easier, better QB play is a must especially if we wanna win the West.

He's as much to blame as Feely for this loss!
If you don't throw it to the LB on OU own 25 which leads to a SF score we probably win. Didn't he throw as many Ints as TDs? Are you happy with that? We've had horrible QBs so long that you guys are happy with mediocre. Well not me I want better. I said he has to go but I meant ... Draft a 1st rounder then let him watch CP for a few games or so til he throws 3-4 Ints in game then put the kid in and join the rest of the NfL Elite!

The biggest reason for the loss was the scoreboard. When the Cardinals realized that NO had won, the wind went out of their sails. If NO had lost, I do believe the Cards would have won the game.

I think the score was 0-17 when Tampa was doing well? Reality isn't buying your comments. Bottom line, we are SF's bitch until we prove otherwise. On a good note, SF is the best team in the league so we aren't too far behind:)
