'Terry Francona (will) address that': Barry Larkin blasts Gavin Lux baserunning error

Jeimer Candelario gave the Cincinnati Reds a 3-0 lead with his two-RBI single in the bottom of the 3rd inning of Thursday's Opening Day game against the San Francisco Giants, Candelario's second hit and third RBI of the game.

Reds left fielder Gavin Lux, though, easily was thrown out at third base trying to advance from first as teammates TJ Friedl and Elly De La Cruz scored. National Baseball Hall of Famer and Fanduel Sports Network analyst Barry Larkin addressed Lux's baserunning gaffe during the broadcast.

"Gavin Lux at first base has to understand that Elly De La Cruz is not gonna get thrown out at the dish," Larkin said. "So he should be standing on second base right there. I'm sure Terry Francona is going to address that. Francona talked about not making outs on the bases. That's probably an out that we did not need to make on the bases right there."

Earlier in the broadcast, Larkin praised the new-look Hunter Greene, who was dominant through the first three innings of his start.
