With run stuffers like we now have up front, an active, fly around motor of a linebacker will be an asset. Paired with Dansby and Hayes, he should have a damn good rookie year. He's the type of player I really, really like...just want it so damn bad that they kill on the field regardless of their size.

To those of you who are familiar with him:

Where does he project on our depth chart? He obviously fell strictly due to his height - I don't think there's a question about that. With that said, if he were 3 inches taller (6'2"), would he have been a first rounder and thus a first day starter? Does he have the intangibles to overcome the height issue and be a starter here?
He can play outside and inside and start immediately. And now that we've gotten bigger inside with Branch, he (and Hayes) can be able to run around instead of sifting through the trash - someone his size obviously struggles with. Had Davis been 6-2 or so, he'd probably on par with Poz and talked about as 1st round guy. In coverage he's unimpressive, but the kid has moxie and is explosive - and if you get him to drop some pounds, look out!

I really like this pick. My favorite so far. I really see him as akin to Zach Thomas or at the least a London Fletcher-type of guy. FSU 'backers transition very well in the NFL and Buster should be no exception. He has the intangibles to succeed.
