Oh.. I dunno... How can you make a case that there would be only 3 other teams in the NFL with larger negative point differentials than the Cards, and those 3 teams would be winless... yet, the Cards lead their division? How can you make a case that would've produced a W for the Cards against the defending SB Champs, if I told you the offense wouldn't score a single TD, with an undrafted rookie at the helm, and that we would still put up 30 points?

IMHO, I think the 9ers are equally, if not more talented than we are. They have the bad mojo thing going, and as long as we play at home, we've got the good mojo thing going.

But if you look at their schedule, and if you believe as I do that they will ultimately play better this season, I really don't believe it's all that far-fetched to merely suggest that it's plausible for the 9ers to go 8 & 3 the rest of the way...

Granted, our win was improbable and the Niners can only "play better" and of course they can go 8-3, or 11-0 - but I doubt it. They not been a winning team for years and I would argue that as winning breeds winning, losing breeds losing. I don't know what's better - Dallas at 1-3 or SF at 0-5!

FWIW, if they went 8 & 3 they still wouldn't be a "winning team"... ;)

Their "bad mojo thing" is Singletary, and the owner just said he stays for the whole season.. so......yeah.

"Not only are we going to Carolina," York said. "We're going to Arizona, and we're going to Green Bay. And we're going to San Diego. And then we're going to the playoffs., an then to Super Bowl. Yeah."

Sad, too much cold-medicine...

After watching them lose all 5 games, i think they could easily to 3-2 right now. I too believe it is plausible they could go 8-3 the rest of the way. I'm not counting them out yet, too much time left, especially for this division.

Exactly, they could have beaten Seattle, people see 31-6 and think blowout, they had that game in the first half but kept not scoring in the redzone and then Alex Smith gave it away. They lost to NO by 3. They lost to KC in a blowout. They lost to Atl by 2 when they had the game saving INT punched out during the return. And then last night with all the Smith issues, they still only lost by 3.

They CAN go 8-3, not saying they will, with Singletary at coach and Smith at QB they likely won't, but if Smith would just stop turning the ball over They could easily be 3-2 right now.

They've played better as a team over 5 games than we have, the difference is good luck we've had, bad luck they've had, and Alex Smith sucks.

This is strictly not about politics but I couldn't help but think about a similar quote from Howard Dean.

Not only are we going to New Hampshire, Tom Harkin, we're going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and we're going to California and Texas and New York ... And we're going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan, and then we're going to Washington, D.C., to take back the White House! Yeah!!!

Funny stuff when people get the adrenaline going.
