EndZone, I think you're wrong about Aaron Francisco. He's a strong safety and is very good against the run, and is a good ST player. I do agree that he is weak in pass defense, but feel the team has played him out of position (center field), when he should be played closer to the line, like AW. JMO.

Davis and Morales have been goen already for some time. Not sure why their names are still on the official roster on the main site though. I dont think either one even made it to training camp both were cut to make room for the signings of our rookies.

Too small? Canfield is listed at 6-5, 307 lbs. Starting guard-Reggie Wells is listed at 6-4, 312 lbs.; starting tackle Mike Gandy is listed at 6-4, 308 lbs. Size wouldn't seem to be an issue. If I remember correctly, Canfield is able to play center in addition to guard; if so it increases his value.

Where's bearcat1?

I think all the picks stick this year. The only surprise, and it won't happen this week, might be Early if he doesn't look good in the next two games.

Canfield gets cut in the end IMO. The guy was a bottom of the barrel 7th rounder and hasnt shown anything in preseason to warrant a team picking him up off waivers and put on their own 53. Even if they did not that great of a loss with so many other young prospects on the team. Just dont think there is any room for him, I mean just look at the list of 7 guys who are locks to make the team -

Sendlein, Lyle C
Lutui, Deuce G
Wells, Reggie G
Brown, Levi T
Gandy, Mike T
Keith, Brandon G/T
Johnson, Herman G/T

Now add in one of the backup centers in Claxton or Fowler and you have 8 OL. Maybe one more makes the squad and I dont think Canfield beats out Elton Brown or even Ross for that matter. Maybe Canfields only hope is that the Cards want to save money on the 9th OL spot who will most likely be on the inactive list anyways the whole year.

Wouldn't it be great if there was an up to the minute roster somewhere ? I tell ya, you can't get anything around here :D

Speaking of that.

Joe, you know of anywhere that I can find a list that shows how many years each player has on his contract ? Can't for the life of me find one.

That site may or may not be correct. There are some errors becuase not all contract lengths are reported in the media.

Best bet is to check the NFLPA themselves. Anyone can do it.

Go to NFLPA.com. Register for a login at the top right hand side of the page.

Once you get your username and password login. Then go to Member services drop down menu and click on active players. Then Select your team and then either search by an actual name or search by position. I suggest you search by position and leave the name blank becuase sometimes it wont find the player correctly. Note do not search for all Arizona Cardinals becuase the full list will not show on your PC and there is no page 2, its why I suggest searching by team and position. Click on the players name after your search and whamo you will have a list of every year he is under contract and at what base salary.

When looking for players for the 1st cut down date a very good bet would be to look for who didn't play in this game at all. Most of the time coaches already know who those guys are and don't want to risk them getting injured and having to give them an injury settlement before they cut them.

Here are the healthy players that didn't get see the field at all -

QB 3 T.Palko, CB 43 J.Dowling, G 60 T.Canfield, T 65 B.Pearce, DE 71 A.Field

Making things worse for Canfield is that bottom of the barrel depth chart guard Carlton Medder saw playing time and Canfield didn't. Writing is on the wall for that Canfield.

Anyways I think its safe to assume that if the theory holds true Pearce, Field, and Dowling will without a doubt be apart of the 5 roster moves we need to make on the 1st.

My call for the 5 roster moves are -

Pearce, Fields, Dowling, Sanders, IR Cody Brown.

Walker made a contribution last night.... That tackle on the 2 pt conversion was very solid.

Canfield is gone as Joe said. Palko is getting PT in game 4 according to what goldberg and lewis said in the booth. Then he will be cut.

Agreed. I made this list before I watched the Charger game, Walker is playing well, and I hope my list is wrong and he doesn't get cut.

I have to agree with you Joe. Good point about not playing certain healthy players because of the risk of an injury settlement.

Walker makes the 53 man roster. I love this kids strength and motor. We've had some good LBs come undrafted. Remember Ronald McKinnon?
