The Chicago Bears are preparing for the 2025 NFL draft, where they have four picks in the Top 75, including the 10th overall selection.
While Chicago is sitting on the edge of the Top 10, there are still a number of top prospects who could very well be on the board when the No. 10 pick rolls around. After general manager Ryan Poles addressed the offensive and defensive lines during free agency, the Bears have flexibility to go "best available" rather than drafting for a specific need.
Depending on how the board falls, there should be some top talent available come No. 10. But there will also be players who are long gone by the time Chicago is on the clock. But what's the fun in that? With that in mind, we're taking a look at our dream options for the Bears at 10th overall.
Abdul Carter might just be the best prospect in this draft class, and he could go as low as fourth overall depending on how the board falls. Carter is a game wrecker in every sense of the word, and he would be a stellar addition for Dennis Allen's defense. Last season with Penn State, he totaled 68 tackles, including 24 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles and four pass breakups. But the Bears have no shot in landing him at 10th overall, and it would require a trade up (and plenty of resources) to land the generational pass rusher.
The Bears might've overhauled the offensive line in a big way this offseason, with the additions of Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson and Drew Dalman, but that shouldn't preclude them from selecting Will Campbell if he somehow manages to fall to No. 10. Campbell is the best offensive lineman in this draft class, and he would be a franchise addition to Chicago's offensive trenches. While some are concerned Campbell's arm length might impact his ability as a left tackle at the NFL level, it doesn't sound like that concerns Ben Johnson. Unfortunately, the Bears will have to battle other teams looking to shore up the trenches, and it's unlikely Campbell slips past the New England Patriots.
There's no way that Travis Hunter will make it out of the Top 5, but a girl can dream (which is exactly the point of this post). Hunter is the Heisman Trophy winner for a reason -- he's a stud two-way player who excels as a receiver and cornerback. Last year with Colorado, he hauled in 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns on offense while totaling 36 tackles, including one tackle for loss, four interceptions, 11 pass breakups and one forced fumble on defense. While both positions are far from a big need for the Bears, Hunter would be too good of a player to pass up if the unimaginable happened and he was sitting there at No. 10.
Chicago addressed the interior defensive line during free agency with the addition of Grady Jarrett to pair with Gervon Dexter and Andrew Billings, but that shouldn't stop them from landing the draft's top defensive tackle in Mason Graham if he managed to fall to 10th overall. He's a force as an interior pass rusher and would be a game wrecker in the middle of this Bears defense. Last season with Michigan, Graham totaled 45 tackles, including seven tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and one pass breakup in 12 games. Adding him to this defensive front would be a massive get for Dennis Allen's defense.
This might be the closest to a realistic pick on this list -- that is if Ashton Jeanty slips past the Las Vegas Raiders at sixth overall. It's no secret that Ben Johnson wants to run the football, and he's looking to create his own version of the Lions' 1-2 punch at running back. Jeanty would be a sensational get for Chicago at 10th overall, as he's a dynamic running back who thrives both as a runner and pass catcher and would then have the fortune of playing in a Ben Johnson offense. There's even talk of the Bears "praying" that Jeanty manages to fall to them at No. 10. So you're telling me there's a chance?
