Off the subject I once met Otis Anderson when he still lived in Stl and after he had been traded to the Giants.

He was very nice and I explained I was a big fan and he talked about 10 minutes but as soon as I mentioned I was sorry he was traded to the Giants he got real quiet and then left.

Seems like it was a big sore spot but I always liked him until Franco Harris told him to run out of bounds to save his career.

The mid-70's were great for Cardinals football. What an offense,
led by Don Coryell. What might have happened if Bidwill had not
pulled the plug on our coach after the last game of the '77 season?

I'm sentimental...Gary Cuozzo was my first-ever football card...he was still the backup for the Vikings at the time (around '68 or so), before he got traded to the Cards before the '72 season. Yeah, it was a bad trade; if I remember correctly, he was traded to the Cardinals for John Gilliam, who became a very solid WR. Cuozzo played one season for the Cardinals, and was part of a three-man QB tandem with Jim Hart and Tim Van Gelder. Then, Cuozzo retired to his dental practice.

He's now a pastor of a church in N.J.
