More like Whiz job could be in jeapordy if he KEEPS Grimm...
I was going to comment on that...but i didn't want to take the time to register.

I HOPE someone "steals" Grimm away from Whiz. Either that, or give Grimm playcalling responsibilities. Do SOMETHING. This split coordinator crap has got to stop.

I know that AlbaNYHawker couldn't spell "Derek" or "Leinart" correctly, but what do you think I whiffed on?

OTHER than the UT Austin/Texas A&M thing. That was one of the (rare) times that I was talking about something that I knew too little about. Can't believe I fumbled on that one.

I couldn't think of one. Good job.

Although they do take college football very seriously down there.

since most of it's within the confines of friendly banter to setup a response or take a little dig it's really not of much consequence

obviously the biggest one was the UT v TAMU mixup

holmgren had zero to do with signing Housh (that was all wonderboy jim mora - maybe they colluded, Housh is getting paid about $7M by the seahawks to play in baltimore this year and Mora is getting paid $12M to throw bitter barbs from his couch........)

While the point is valid about the defense falling off in regards to rush defense .... selling the Giants & Raiders short on thier ability to rush the ball isn't ..... You mention Brandon Jacobs (who had a 4 game TD streak snapped) but not Ahmad Bradshaw who is the 3rd leading rusher in the league and is putting up 96ypg in a split back system

McFadden is 4th in rushing yards and #1 in YPG at 108

Alba also missed another player in his response .... yes, mebane & bryant are hut .... but so is colin cole .... the teams 3 best rush defenders, 3 of their biggest defensive lineman and 3 starters all hurt ......... the run defense with them and the run defense without them cannot be compared ...... and when you face good running attacks like Oakland & NYG without them things can get ugly

Then again I realize the context is more of a what happened and the teams faces are secondary

There have also been plenty of memorable moments since the seahawks came to the NFC West ... if you are talking about between the two teams there are a couple games that stand out - the one in SDS where the hawks completely rolled them and Hamlin lit up boldin was fairly memorable ..... on the other side the game at UoP where seattle lost it late when a handoff was broken up near midfield

as cardinal fans the games should be memorable because it's the only times in cardinals history that bryant johnson looked like a legit 1st rounder and neil rackers looked like a clutch kicker

in non-cards games they played in a lot of really memorable games, some wins/some losses .... most of which were in the playoffs - although I do understand that the majority of cardinal fans thought this playoff thing was a desert mirage until a couple years ago :D

Also, I thought it was interesting what happens to this piece when it's two teams on the ropes. I'm not sure who had more digs on the seahawks--K9 or Alba, and likewise for the cardinals. It was a very self-deprecating Q&A from both sides. ...and, that's probably how it should be: it's tough to thump your chest when your teams are as bad as these two.

Nice work, though.

If I'm not mistaken the NFC West has had only one season since it was formed in 2002 where there was more than one team with a winning record.

I hate Washington state, I can't wait to get out of this place.

Terrible weather, terrible traffic, no sunlight, ugly women, terrible Mexican food, and high cost of living. Arizona is the anti-Washington; I see more beautiful women in one day in Arizona than I've seen the entire time I've been here.

Sure you have to deal with the ridiculous heat of the summer in Arizona, but with Washington you deal with dark, dreary, wet days nearly the entire year!

I like how the other guy wrote that this is a rebuilding year for the Seahawks.

They went 4-12 in 2008 and 5-11 in 2009.

That looks like 3 straight years of rebuilding.

A Krang sighting. Woo hoo!

Nice job, K9. I enjoyed the read and was glad you both dished it out.

You should see the evident excitement for this years Seahawks team up here when they opened the season with a few wins.

Seahawks fans crack me up; For the majority of the teams existence in the NFL they have been a bottom rung franchise. They win the putrid NFC West on the backs of 3 terrible teams over the course of three season and they start thinking the 'Hawks are an upper echelon franchise.

At least Cardinals fans are grounded enough to remember our history of absolutely piss poor football. 'Hawks fans are just too ******** to remember the many years of being the Raiders, Broncos, Chargers, and Chiefs' *******.

.

Most of us are still pretty well grounded - anyone who remember husky stadium, let alone the ken behring ownership really has little other choice

however, there is a certain level of disrespect that comes from being a franchise that is historically bad and doesn't have a huge following (cardinal fans are learning this now)

there is never any credit for any acheivements

Seattle won their division 4 straight years, made the playoffs 5 straight and won games in 3 of those years as well as a superbowl appearance

Maybe seattle fans crowed a little loud over that time - but really no one else did despite them having one of the best records in the league over that time frame and absolutely owning the NFC East (you know the whole, you wouldn't even make the playoffs if you were in this division crowd)

The past 2 seasons are the worst consecutive seasons they've had for a totat wins # since 92 & 93

From 1995 - 2007 they only finished under .500 three times (two 7 win seasons and a 6 win season in MHs 2nd year)

While not spectacular there are certianly worse records to be found

That is correct - seattle won the WC one year and the rams snuck in at 8-8 the next though.

The guys over their (the blue) are good fans. Not over insulting, and they know their football. I haven't really kicked it with any other hawk forums, but this one has been real cool. Reminds me tons of this place, just different wall paper.
Kool aiders, stat guys, the world is lost guys, funny guys, die hards, and everything in between.
Not bad for Seahawk fans at all. :)

yeah - it's a good spot

seahawksal is another good one, although a lot less active than it once was

i really don't have much time for seahawks.net, although it's certainly popular

then there are just the horrible ones setup by guys who are banned from all the other sites ... places like fieldgulls, etc

K9 did an awesome job. Thanks to desertdawg for passing the torch to someone who's much better at smack talk.
