I know that AlbaNYHawker couldn't spell "Derek" or "Leinart" correctly, but what do you think I whiffed on?
OTHER than the UT Austin/Texas A&M thing. That was one of the (rare) times that I was talking about something that I knew too little about. Can't believe I fumbled on that one.
since most of it's within the confines of friendly banter to setup a response or take a little dig it's really not of much consequence
obviously the biggest one was the UT v TAMU mixup
holmgren had zero to do with signing Housh (that was all wonderboy jim mora - maybe they colluded, Housh is getting paid about $7M by the seahawks to play in baltimore this year and Mora is getting paid $12M to throw bitter barbs from his couch........)
While the point is valid about the defense falling off in regards to rush defense .... selling the Giants & Raiders short on thier ability to rush the ball isn't ..... You mention Brandon Jacobs (who had a 4 game TD streak snapped) but not Ahmad Bradshaw who is the 3rd leading rusher in the league and is putting up 96ypg in a split back system
McFadden is 4th in rushing yards and #1 in YPG at 108
Alba also missed another player in his response .... yes, mebane & bryant are hut .... but so is colin cole .... the teams 3 best rush defenders, 3 of their biggest defensive lineman and 3 starters all hurt ......... the run defense with them and the run defense without them cannot be compared ...... and when you face good running attacks like Oakland & NYG without them things can get ugly
Then again I realize the context is more of a what happened and the teams faces are secondary
There have also been plenty of memorable moments since the seahawks came to the NFC West ... if you are talking about between the two teams there are a couple games that stand out - the one in SDS where the hawks completely rolled them and Hamlin lit up boldin was fairly memorable ..... on the other side the game at UoP where seattle lost it late when a handoff was broken up near midfield
as cardinal fans the games should be memorable because it's the only times in cardinals history that bryant johnson looked like a legit 1st rounder and neil rackers looked like a clutch kicker
in non-cards games they played in a lot of really memorable games, some wins/some losses .... most of which were in the playoffs - although I do understand that the majority of cardinal fans thought this playoff thing was a desert mirage until a couple years ago
