IMG Academy has named longtime college assistant Greg Studrawa as its new head football coach.

Studrawa, 60, most recently was the offensive coordinator for the Cologne Centurions in the Europe League of Football.

Prior to coaching in Europe, Studrawa's coaching stops included Ohio State, Maryland, LSU and others. He won a national championship with LSU in 2007.

Studrawa replaces Billy Miller who left IMG in January to join Bill Belichick’s staff at the North Carolina.

Here are five things to know about IMG’s new head coach:

Studrawa’s background is on the offensive line

Studrawa was a two-year starter as a left tackle at Bowling Green and won the team’s Coaches Award as a senior in 1987. With the exception of being a graduate assistant at Cincinnati and Ohio State, Studrawa has been an offensive line coach and/or offensive coordinator.

Studrawa oversaw some of the nation’s top offenses

In his first year as offensive coordinator at his alma mater, Bowling Green was third in the country in overall offense. The Falcons averaged 496.7 yards per game in 2003. Bowling Green went 11-3 that season and finished ranked No. 23 in the final AP poll. A year later, the Falcons averaged 506.3 yards per game, which was second nationally and set a Mid-American Conference record.

When Studrawa made the jump from Division III Wilmington to graduate assistant at Ohio State in 1996, he was hired by College Football Hall of Famer John Cooper. He has two stops as offensive line coach for College Football Hall of Famer Urban Meyer — first at Bowling Green and later at Ohio State. He was Les Miles’ offensive line coach and offensive coordinator at LSU. Studwara also coached under Ryan Day, who led Ohio State to the national title in 2024.

Studwara has coached several All-Americans, award winners and NFL draft picks

The list of offensive linemen Studwara has coached in college includes Trai Turner and La’el Collins at LSU and Billy Price and Pat Elflein at Ohio State. Turner was a five-time Pro Bowl selection in the NFL, while Price and Elflein both won the Rimington Trophy as the top center in the nation.

The Ascenders have one of the premier rosters in the nation, so this should come as little surprise. But even for IMG, this is an impressive group. Rising senior tackle Keenyi Pepe is a five-star recruit and one of the most sought-after players in the nation in the 2026 class. Rising seniors Will Conroy and Steven Pickard are committed to Oklahoma and Syracuse, respectively. Fellow rising seniors Breck Kolojay and G’nivre Carr are three-star recruits with several Power 5 offers.
