That word is thrown around far too often. It's not untrue that the bodies of every race vary genetically, and pointing that out is not racist. Black men generally have higher levels of testosterone than White men--hence, a greater risk of prostate cancer. And, Blacks have denser lean body mass--hence, saying Black dudes generally can't swim as well as White dudes isn't racist--it's true. Saying all Black men or all White men are worse or lesser than the other solely for their genetic variance would be racist, but cheese obviously hasn't said that.

How is he not doing that exact thing? David Lee is shown to be the most athletic power forward in the draft, but he is still saying he isn't as good because he fits into that "white power forward" category.

David Lee is behind guys like Diogu, Simeon, Sean May, Fran Vazquez, Villenueva, etc. because they showed more potential in college and/or are bigger. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. The reason he's moving up in the draft now is because he had a good Chicago camp. Many people were also saying that his lackluster performance in Florida was a product of the system they ran. I didn't watch them play enough to agree or disagree with that.

He played in the same system as Udonis Haslem and Matt Bonner and was not as good in it as they were. And these guys are serviceable, but nothing to get that excited about as pros.

David Lee had a relatively undistinguised career. Chris Taft had a relatively undistinugished career. Both will be drafted based on their athleticism rather than their production. One or both are likely to fail, because neither has demonstrated the work ethic to be a top player and relies too much on athleticism.

Does it really matter what their race is?

Change the subject, Ike's numbers showed why he's likely to slide as well as why he might help the Suns. Ike does not rank particularly well on athleticism measures and is shorter than previously thought, but ranked very well on strength and length measures.
