Afternoon. No pads but a good practice by our team.
QB's Skelton IMO had a solid day behind the first team. He was hitting everyone. He had 2 intercepted but the wr might have run the wrong route. The other was on him with the aid of a great play be Gregg Toler who looked good all day as did Petersonw who is geing close to that shut down type of guy. Bartell nothing special here, but the rookie looked pretty good. Made his throws quickly and on target for his time behind center. As for Mr. Kolb..I don't get it how he is so not into it IMO. Skelton comes ruuning into the huddle fist in air pumped, ready to go energy. Kold throws a pass into the front line interception. Then another appears Not sure, not steady. I will support the one that gets the job, buy, Skelton is a winner has more upside and a bigger arm.
WR's Number 17 Boyd? will no doubt make the practice squad here or another team. The kid just makes plays. Housler looked solid as did, you guessed it Fitz when Peterson wasn't all over him. Roberts made some plays and he might have the edge as the slot wide out over Doucet.
Our just picked up running back Thomas Clayton looked very quick out of the backfield. Also made a couple of nice grabs. He was wearing number 31 which is also worn by marshay Green. I thought I was seeing double and that Marshay was playing both ways.
One word awsome. Our D looks like they are ready to be great we will see more on through the pre season but they were charging from every position and the CB's are real ball hawks, It's hard to tell with no hitting but most Offensive plays would have been shut down with hitting.
What a great day watching in the beautifull coolness of Flagstaff. Went to Grannys closet for lunch, it was yummy.
