I believed the reasons for the 9 championships were Kobe, Shaq, Magic, Abdul Jabbar, Worthy, West, Baylor...

Laker fans...love 'em...this guy needs to get Christie'd for his comments...

(joking) We know what really happened here. Doug Christie's wife told him that Rick Fox had told her that Doug thought Rick Fox's wife (during that time), Vanessa Williams was hot, and that he had to punch him, in-game, to prove to her that he wasn't lying to her that Vanessa Williams was a dog.

Ofc if my memory serves correct it was christie's wife who was a psycho, if i'm wrong on that, then forget this post.

FWIW, the Lakers have 14 titles.

You know, I saw a stat on Shaq the other night that said his teams were 26-0 in playoff series, when winning the 1st game. So, how many times did the Lakers have to comeback from 0-2, to win a series or championship? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say probably none.

cheesebeef,
can't the same be said about EVERY great coach? Pat Riley had Magic and Kareem and Wade and Shaq, Auberbach had Cousy and Russell. What all time great coach DIDN'T have likely two of the best players of their eras?

You said Jackson built dynasties, plural, and I was arguing that he couldn't be said to have built the Lakers "dynasty"

They lost the first game to Philly in the finals, and ended up winning 4-1. That stat is wrong

Edit: Nevermind I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote that, totally misunderstood
