What I don't understand about your post is, what exactly did DD do? Don't like his posts on twitter? [/B] Other than a few posts on twitter he's been a stand up guy and a hell of a teammate.

Eh he's put some funny stuff out there but the constant attention whorring and lying is annoying. If he were a Richard Sherman caliber player it would bother me less lol.

I own a DD jersey and a fitz jersey, wish they would both stay all time cardinals, though I understand if it helps the team to ditch an overpaid player.

What's insulting is his constant embarassing behavior. He makes more news off the field than on. Don't be surprised when the Cardinals wash their hands of Nine-0.

You're right. I could tell by Arians asking him to still travel with the team and citing what a leader his is and how much it means having him around that the team def wants to be rid of the guy.

agreed. I'd even go so far to question whether or not his doctors really told him to take the year off.

I'd bet almost anything that he was fine. He was absent the entire offseason then there were rumblings he didn't want to play at all anymore. Then word came out that he'd have to pay the team back 2 mil. He showed up, got one injury, said he was gonna retire, heard he'd still have to give the money back, then came back, heard he was fine and then proceeded to never be able to pass the concussion protocol. When is the last time a player got his first concussion ever, in week 1 no less and got IR'ed? With all the noise surrounding head injuries these days, he had the team by the nuts and they knew it. He took his money and walked. Arians never brought him up again. It was an @$$ raping by him and they all knew it but couldn't do anything about it without getting destroyed by the media.

So some people care about behavior and athletes are held to a higher standard...sometimes?

Let's be real here. Adrian Wilson was a leader and maybe the most respected player in Cardinal history. He was the same age as Dockett, due less money and not coming off major injury. Maybe SK is just an emotionless robot. ;)

Wrong wrong and wrong. He was older, had obviously lost a step and wasn't wanted by the new staff. Horrible horrible argument.

I think that Wilson had taken less money the year before to stay with the team and show his leadership. The Cards didn't really have a path to get Wilson to take a second paycut.
