The questions of "attitude" and suggestions of "just play the game" by many are rediculous and uninformed.
BC867 might be on to something with the UpTown thing and credit where credit is due for him regarding it. That doesn't excuse the FO and he's not trying to excuse them either.

I can appreciate that it was a factor in leading the Diamondbacks to ship him out, but I do not think it is what damaged his trade value. Their handling of him was so bizarre and unprofessional that it still astounds.
The posters who keep saying he needed to 'shut up and play' and that he had an attitude... other than buying the consent BS that the front office feeds, those kinds of comments have no basis in reality. He DID play, he even played hurt, he never said one ill word during the entire saga, meanwhile the team made several damaging statements in the press. I get being annoyed at him missing the cut-off man, but outside of that he was good/great player during the majority of his tenure here, who also kept himself out of trouble.
