"hind sight \'hin(d)-,sit\ n (1866): perception of the nature of an event after it has happened."

"fore sight \'for-,sit, 'for-\ n (14c) 1: an act or the power of foreseeing : PRESCIENCE 2: provident care : PRUDENCE < had the - to invest his money wisely> 3: an act of looking forward; also : a view forward - fore sight ed \-,si-ted\ adj = fore sight ed ly adv - fore sight ed ness n - fore sight ful \-,sit-fel\ adj"

- Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary Tenth Edition

a bunch of you keep drudging up the cliche that "hindsight is 20-20." you are all using it in the wrong context. yes, it would be accurate if we were saying graves should have done this or mac should have done that, but, in reality, y'all are using to downgrade the complaints we had about the cards' actions or inactions PRIOR to those occurrences. when we say we should have drafted leftwich it is hindsight. when we say that we were clamoring to draft him before the draft, it is foresight.

when we said that we knew this team was gonna stink this year, it is foresight, not hindsight.

when we said that we were leery of wilson's cowboy antics, it was foresight, not hindsight.

to keep throwing "hindsight is 20-20" around is just plain ignorant.

just a pet peeve.

go cards.

Geez, we've been using that phrase wrong all this time. :(

Oh well, hindsight 20/20. I'll get it right next time.

"when we said that we knew this team was gonna stink this year, it is foresight, not hindsight"

It WAS foresight, but when we reaffirmed our belief AFTER the first two weeks, it became hindsight, and when we look back in December to review all the time and energy we wasted following them this year it'll be as an afterthought.

I have an afterthought about your hindsight which is not as good as your forsight or no sight. I have the Ray Charles thoughts on this subject, if it feels, dirty and smells dirty then it is dirty.

In hindsight I should not have input in this subject for I'm in flux and can't get out!

I would think this is probably the closest to what hindsight should mean. (At least in my dictionary):D And I definatly am the one who spells defanitly wrong...and IF any one is saluting Tango....They would be saying "IIIdiottt" in there best German of course. (I'm not sure if that is hindsight or foresight) I will have to check with my Websters.......Geezzzz

No 40, that's "hinney-sight", unless she's really big, in which case it would be "hindquarter-sight"...:D

Kinda reminds you of that rap song "I like big butts". He never did define how big "big" is. My definition is, it has to be attached to a female and can go through an 18" slot w/o turning sideways. This criteria includes 75% of the women in this country. I am an equal opportunity butt watcher.

Sir Mix-A-Lot is a true artist!

I'm going to move away from the butt-talk...I will only escolate it to the point of me getting punished by the mods...
