I'm glad Matt Leinart had the sense to make the comment that the players were lucky that Brandon Emmons wanted to spend time with them. It shows he understands the situation of football players trying to win a game and a teenager losing a life that hasn't even started yet, aren't comparable. Nevertheless, I'm proud they did their best for him and gave him a terrific afternoon. Its a really sad loss for all of us as Cardinals fans. He was obviously a great kid who dealt with an awful situation with a lot of courage.

I noticed that also. Sure puts it into perspective, doesn't it?

RIP Brandon.

I'll never consider another game meningless again.

This says it all:

"We take life for granted sometimes," Leinart said, "and then you see someone like Brandon who is stronger and braver than I'll ever be."

And you learn how simple gestures can have profound impacts. And that sometimes, the games that seem so meaningless, really weren't that meaningless at all.

I don't know about anyone else, but the room here just got a little dusty. What a brave young man. I'm glad his folks let him get married, too. Sounds like he had loving people all around him at the end.

That struck me when I read it in the paper. What a sad story, Brandon sounds like he was a really great kid.
