First players likely to be picked:

1. Alex Smith, Utah (No. 23)
2. Aaron Rogers, California (No. 24)
3. Kyle Orton, Purdue (No. 13)
4. Charlie Frye, Akron (No. 8)
5. Andrew Walter, Arizona State (No. 16)
6. Jason Campbell, Auburn (No. 4)
7. Dan Orlovsky, Connecticut (No. 12)
8. David Greene, Georgia (No. 9)

Wild card: Adrian McPherson (No. 22). McPherson played in the Arena League in 2004 and spent a partial season at Florida State in 2003. He has Michael Vick-like ability and has as much talent as anyone in this year's draft.

This guy MCpherson is the wild Card this year. IMO he can start from the get go. A Warner type but young and athletic. I'd love to see him and Mccown go head to head.

IMO, McPherson is one of those "boom or bust" guys. Take him on the first day and he'll make that GM an idiot or genius - no middle ground there. I personally wouldn't touch him till the fourth round unless we receive another first day pick. Athletic ability is great and all but what happened to the Falcons when opponents took Vick's running lanes away?

My choice is Frye for QB in the draft. I love this kid and I got burned for dissing MAC QBs w/ last year's draft.

How is Orton the 3rd QB? Have they seen him play (look no further than his fumble in the Wisconsin game). I'm a Purdue alumn, but no way would I take him earlier than round 3.
