There's no doubt the SEC is better overall. But OSU/Mich can play with anybody. This is first time Tressell has lost a BCS bowl game. BTW, they what may be the worst game plan i have seen by any team.It was ridiculous. They didn't play that 3 man, drop your LB's 15 yards deep scheme all year. They played/coached like the were afraid of Florida.

At some point, I would have thought OSU would have dropped their zone coverages and dared Leak to beat them medium to deep. Maybe Tressel thought this would be a shootout like the Michigan game and they could outscore Gators.

I though they would drop it after the second drive of the game. It was just a horribly coached game. They didn't run the ball, they were keeping TE's in.They didn't play that style all year. Also, Troy Smith looked like he put on about 15-20 pounds during the off time.I've said all along that he's not a good pro prospect. Now, everyone knows.

Wow, that was . . . boring. At least I was left thinking I'd like to see USC play Florida.

The Gators fans must just love UCLA. First the basketball team does a dunk drill over UCLA in the title game, then UCLA football beats USC or it's USC, not Florida, blowing out Ohio State last night.

Clearly we need a playoff, but will 4 teams be enough? If it was 4, they would have included Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, and LSU as 1-4. I wouldn't have been as happy with that because they would have left out USC and Boise St.
.

An 8 team playoff is ideal.

3 weeks of games. 7 playoff "Bowl" games. That's it.

Without Ginn in there to stretch the field, there was no Buckeye passing attack. The loss of Ginn was huge...Nelson addressed it in the post game, saying they game planned for Ginn and his speed. He wasn't there, and that passing attack looked TERRIBLE.

It seems the Gators spent their 30 days preparing while the Buckeyes (players, coaches, everyone) spent their 50 off days preparing their victory speeches.

There's the problem. How can you justify having a championship game that long after the end of the regular season with no games in between? There is no way those teams were the same as they were back in November, early December. Imagine the SuperBowl being played not on February 4th this year but February 25th or March 4th instead.

OSU went to Texas this year. They play USC in 2008/2009. When is the last time Florida has played a road game against a quality opponent outside the state of Florida? They beat the crap out of OSU and deserve the credit but your reasoning is way off base.

Texas was beaten by Nebraska till NU coughed it up trying to run the clock down, Texas was beaten by A&M who was destroyed by Cal.

Can we really go there?

Florida lost to Auburn
Who lost to Arkansas
Who lost to USC
Who lost to UCLA
Who lost to Florida State
Who lost to NC State
Who lost to Akron
Who lost to Ohio University

So my alma mater Ohio University could beat

Florida?

Okay. I just think top to bottom , the SEC is tough. I don't think the Big 10 is.

Florida does play FSU out of conference every year.

I am not as Gator fan, just an entertained viewer of College football.

Okay, so the Big Ten beat the SEC in 2 out of 3 bowl games. If the Big Ten isn't tough, then neither is the SEC, no?

And the only undefeated team, after walking in and winning their BCS game, is Boise State. Damn, is college football messed up. I mean, completely ********, when it comes down to it.

Yep. We ended the season ranked 5 and 6 in the polls.

And THAT'S ********, too. I don't give a good god-bleep about all these arrogant sports writers who say, 'well, they can beat a team on one day, but that doesn't make them that good'. Screw them. They're not allowed to put Boise State #1? Then, as the only undefeated team, they should AT LEAST be a #2. Hell, even if we were playing an 'and 1' game, they STILL wouldn't get a shot!
