I think after the likes of Manziel and Bridgewater get drafted, I think the next three which relatively fall in back of them won't make it into the third round. It might not be the best QB draft but compared to last year it does not make one shake their head with disappointment. I think guys as Bortles, Mettenberger and Jimmy Garoppolo could be gone by the third. I think Carr might drop in back of all of them for some reason but he has a chance to go early on too

Looking around the league , some teams are almost must gamble , Jags --- Browns ---- Raiders , and then very tempted to gamble , Texans ---- Vikes , and Titans , and who knows what the Buc's are thinking . QB's are certainly going to be in high demand .

I'm thinking the same way and it is the most important position on the field. After the Seahawks stole a player like Wilson in the third round... I think it will have its effect on a QB class that has potential :)

I think Bortles, Bridgewater, and Manziel are top 5-10 picks. Carr looks like a first rounder as well. After that there is still some intriguing players like: Mettenberger, Garoppolo, AJ McCarron, Tajh Boyd, Aaron Murray and David Fales. I could see a scenario where each of these guys are picked in the top 3 rounds.

You could have as many as five QBs going in the first round. It is no wonder both Marcus Marriota and Brett Hundley stayed in school, this is a really deep QB class. Next year we likely will have another good class with Jameis Winston, Marriota and Hundley.

If I'm a team drafting near the top of the round, say 4th, I'd take Sammie Watkins everyday over forcing a pick on Bortles. You'd bet, by far the #1 player at his position and then you can get a comparable QB at the top of round 2, or even trade back into late round 1. It's not like any of these QB's are can't miss players. Is Blake Bortles really any better than Jimmy Garropollo? If so, is he that much better of a prospect than to pass on a guy like Watkins? I'd much rather have a Watkins/Garropollo combo than, say, a Bortles/Jarvis Landry combo.

You can also add to that mix with the Redskins asking for a 2nd for Kirk Cousins.

I'm intrigued by the possibilities of getting someone like Murray or McCarron late (4th) like the Redskins did with Cousins.

Taking a flyer on Mettenberger in the 3rd is also a possibility. Depends how FA shakes out.

I'd really like to pull the trigger on one of these guys with a reasonably high pick. (1-3, depending on who is falling where)

When Carson is hurt/retired/at the end of his contract, where are we going to go at this point? Another retread? Drew Stanton's not exactly young, so it's not like we have the heir apparent at hand. I don't see why you don't make a move for a future signal caller that can step in two years from now, or next year. This is the deepest things have been in recent memory, so take a shot, and don't just let Lindley sit there. He's got a very slim chance of having an NFL future.

I'm not saying I think it will happen in any sense - Arians has been pretty clear on that. But if it did, I'd be happy.

If I am Houston I take the once in a decade player Clowney. In order to

pass on that physical specimen I need a clean sure thing at qb. I need

a John Elway or Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck. What if the Rams grab

Sammy Watkins at 2 to go with Tavon Austin? They could still get Lewan

at 13.

I'm hoping this team under BASK will be good enough to not have the luxury of drafting early in the upcoming seasons because they will be winning. If that is the case, we will have to pull the trigger on a QB in a draft class that is deep in the position because some of the most noted college signal callers will go earlier than we are able to get them. This draft affords us a chance to get a good QB :)

I want Mettenberger in the 2nd round. I feel he is for real, and we can afford to wait for him to heal properly and he can have the time he needs to learn the playbook.

It is a very strong win-win situation.

Thrilled that teams will be grabbing QB's early and often through the first 3 rounds of this very deep draft class. SK sits back and hopefully trades back a time or two and collects picks and stocks the roster sans QB.
