Well if Adam Schefter says it it must be true. I'll take that and run with it. Really though I think this will be Kolbs last best chance to be the starting QB. He will have to perform really well against Oakland to have any chance at winning the job. I do think that Whiz will end up playing Kolb almost all of the first half. It's up to Kolb to take the bull by the horns. If he doesn't then its all Skelton from here on out.

A high profile/priced QB in the 3rd pre season game against the Raiders with his job on the line. There's never a shortage of weird when it comes to Cardinal football is there?

It is weird but Kolb has done this to himself. He better get his act together and produce or he will lose the QB battle.

Either way it's not good unless one of these two guys start to step up and play much, much, much better than what they have shown in the past. Either way, the Cards could/should be in position to get a great QB prospect in the draft this year. With all due respect to Skelton and Lindley I want to see what Wiz can do with a legit prospect he hand picks, not someone else's castoff or carryover.

Think he is speaking of Irony that this is the second time vs the same team.

This time the old bust will be on oaklands team.

I was comparing the Kolb situation to the one Leinart was in pre season 2008. Didn't even think about the additional irony of Leinart playing for the Raiders.

You gotta love Cardinal football :D

Whoever it is, a starter needs to be named after this week so they get the reps they need for week 1.

It was also against Oakland that the golden boy threw more picks than completions to solidify the starting job to Warner.

Did you watch the Raiders last night? This is a great chance for Kolb. They will be on a very short week as well. If he cant look confident and command the O against this Raiders team he might be sunk.

QB is probably still a battle. A three way battle between Skelton, Lindley and Bartel. Everyone knows it but Whiz.

not someone else's castoff or carryover.

Lindly and Skelton are Cardinals and are not castoffs or carryover.

Yes, I didn't make it clear enough in my post. What I meant to say is that I want Wiz to pick a legit QB prospect (Lindley and Skelton are projects) or not have to choose from castoffs(Anderson, Kolb) or carryovers(Leinart, Warner). Although that Warner guy did ok.

I wonder if Whiz is the insider and if it was said to see how Kolb responds.

As Duckjake said, it's deja vu all over again. A make or break start for a highly paid guy ticketed to be the franchise's QBOTF and the game is against Oakland. Unfortunately if KK fails on Friday, we don't have Kurt Warner waiting in the wings to lead us to the Super Bowl.

And at home!

I actually think that makes it harder for Kolb. Of which I dont care it it makes it harder for him or not.

If the boo's when I was at camp were any indication, and after two horrid games, Kolb is going to hear it and hear it loud inside the stadium.

Got to be honest I haven't seen squat from Kolb. I was much more impressed with Skelton sofar.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe Kolb needs to get fired up a little and compete for the job.

if this is really the case, he needs to be freaking cut. I mean... REALLY? if he needs to be fired up to get the starting nods after suckign eggs last year and so far this year, the guy has nothing inside of him that makes me believe he even belongs on a roster.
