Plot Summary

Plot Outline His life was emotionally closed off from the world, until an orphaned baby showed up at his house.
Plot Synopsis: Michael McCann is a man who feels totaly betrayed by the world, after his wife revealed to him that their child was not his. A few years after his break up we find him living alone in a small town. But, everything in his miserable life changes when he adopts a little girl whose mother died outside his house. After several years, the real father returns to claim the girl from Michael, thinking that she will be an advantage for his political career.

I just watched it. It’s always very strange to see Steve Martin in a movie where he’s not acting like a total goofball. I thought he was very believable playing the role of a lonely miser. I see that he has no movies planned for 2007, I wonder what he’s up to.

I thought this was a great flick. IMO, Steve Martin is a genius.

I was also surprised when I read that he was never a cast member on SNL. He hosted so often that it just seemed as if he was.
