Hall of Famer
I got into a political discussion with a guy on a songwriting board. Anyway, this lyric came out of it and he did the music and made the recording.

WHEN GOOD MEN DISAGREE
(verse)
He sees questions that don't have clear answers
Where I see good and evil, black and white
We agree that there's a time to reason
But I believe there's times you've gotta fight
I see the world the way it is
He dreams how it should be
I live my life and he lives his
You can do that when you're free
Cause life goes on, when good men disagree
(verse)
We drove by this homeless guy on Main Street
And wondered how his life had come to this
But he would buy the guy a seafood dinner
And I would rather teach the man to fish
Still I love him like a brother
And he feels the same for me
We still respect each other
That's how it'll always be
Cause life goes on when good men disagree
(bridge)
We grew up in the same town
Touched by the same events
But our beliefs took different roads
With the death of innocence
I sometimes think that he's a fool
He thinks I have no heart
We'd like to find some common ground
But we're so far apart
(verse)
On some Saturdays he organizes protests
He believes that love's what makes things change
I read my saved up week of Wall Street Journals
Then go to practice shooting at the range
Then we meet to have some beers
Beneath the bar's TV
Repeating things that no one hears
Still we bitch on endlessly
Cause life goes on when good men disagree
