In my paper, the Cardinals show as three point favorites in tonight's game. If that is the case, or even if they are six points favorites, I think a bet on the Cards is a sure thing. First, Denver doesn't play their starters and this year most feel that we have more depth than maybe ever. And our QB's are under pressure to play well. All signs point to a blowout. The only problem that I see is that I'm NEVER RIGHT about sure things.

A person would have to be INSANE to bet on preseason.

This should help. The Cards are 1-11 against the Broncos since 1994, 1-7 in preseason, and have lost the last 3 preseason games against Denver's spares.

The Cards have never won a regular season game against the Broncos and since the Cards moved to Arizona the Broncos outscored our boys 211-69. (six games)

Last 4 years preseason results:

2004 W 33-21
2005 L 21-30
2006 L 23-29
2007 L 3-21

Last 4 regular season against Denver:

1995 L 38-6
2001 L 36-17
2002 L 37-7
2006 L 37-20

OUCH!

Make that 1-12.

Not a sure thing again this year.

Preseason lines are almost always 3 points with the home team favored, sometimes a point one way or the other. Betting preseason, as someone else said, is insanity.

That said, the guy that brings the parlay cards to the bar each week has been bringing preseason cards and I've bet every week. Needless to say, I'm winless on those cards. :)

Stick to college if you're going to bet on football. At least you have a chance.

Betting on pro football is for suckers.
