This particular line doesn't hold true. Nkemdiche for example looked the part but didn't perform as such. It seems he's bashing him for drafting a guy who doesn't look the part but Keim also got bashed for drafting someone who did. Damned if you do & damned if you don't scenario.

''That particular gaffe is just one of many, but it explains a lot. Because Keim chose the guy who doesn’t look the part over the guy who does, symptomatic of a GM trying too hard to prove a point, to confirm he’s smarter than his colleagues, while constantly digging the hole he now inhabits.''

Yeah, no. Most folks thought him crazy for that pick.

No, this was Keim trying to be smarter than the room like he was with Mathieu. Difference was there was a support system in place for Mathieu and he only cost a 3rd. If Keim takes Nkemdiche in round 3, there is no issue with the pick.

There was a lot of talk about Nkemdiche being a gamble at the time.

When you hear that something is off about a player, there is a lot of information that we arent hearing. We knew that he had issues.

I'm mean physically. Bickley was saying D.K. would be a better pick because he looked the part over a short Isabella. Nkemdiche looked the part athletically but had no drive or love of the game.
