A 23 year old stud RB that is the strength of their team for a problem child, Rosenhaus client that hasn't stayed healthy the past two years? There's no way, especially with Jacksonville's history of bad luck with WR's that they're even remotely interested in a guy like Boldin. For Jones-Drew? When Taylor's turning 33?

They just gave Jerry Porter a 6 year/$30M contract and traded for Troy Williamson last year. I highly doubt a frugal team like the Jaguars is going to re-structure Boldin's contract and have even more money tied up in the WR position.
Despite your opinion, when your WR's are Jery Porter,Troy Williamson, and Matt Jones and receiver like Boldin becomes available, you look hard at it.

Not when Porter got injured early and will likely be given another shot and not at the expense of trading away one of your stars and future.

The Jaguars have no incentive to get rid of Jones-Drew unless they feel he isn't going to be able to cut it as a feature RB. Boldin is a luxury. He is a great player when he's healthy but no team can depend on him actually staying healthy all year long based on the past two years. Add in the fact that he's doing his best TO/Ocho impersonation and the money it will take to sign him and most of all the compensation the Cardinals are going to be asking, there's just no way the Jaguars are gong to be in this discussion.

The Cardinals are going to lose on the deal one way or another.

The point of the the idea was that the Jags were going to draft Wells to be their RB. Thus, they have a big RB and have added Boldin which makes their offense better. Also, Boldin isn't remotely acting like TO or 85. He states that he was lied to and wanst traded. Never once did he complain during the year and played at a high level. In fact, he has siad he will play oit his contarct if he has to. The only time he has said anything is when a reporter asked him about it.

Don't forget Boldin returning to play only 3 weeks after his injury. Q is a star receiver and has been to multiple pro bowls but lets put that aside for a second. The intangibles he brings to the table are underrated here. I doubt there is a player on this team, even the league, that wouldn't love to take the field with Q. He has the respect of everyone in the locker room and his character and work ethic are something both owners and players admire. To put Q in the same category as TO/Ocho is asinine. And to trade a star pro bowl receiver for a part time RB is too. I looked forward to the day when we could see Boldin's name and 81 on the ring of honor but it looks like that won't happen. If we have to move him I hope we get something close to his REAL value.

22 starts over the last two years is going to hinder any chance he has at getting a #1 commitment and contract. Whether it's durability or style of play, teams just aren't going to go bonkers about a guy who can't stay on the field. Skeptics might even point out that he's had Larry playing across from him for quite some time. How much has he really shown recently that he can handle being the #1 guy week in and week out?

Boldin is my favorite player but I would do this trade straight up. This would be an "everyone wins" kind of deal.
