Bad enough living in the Bay area with all the 49er hype this year. Then with UCLA basketball being in the outhouse this year it sure would be nice if the Cards continued the hot spell and maybe made a run at the playoffs.

Don't know why but I have a good feeling about Sunday I get the feeling if we win, we could win out, but if we lose, we might just lose out. I think there's a HUGE emotional gain or loss from this game so I hope we come out on top.

of course the Card fan in me tells me we'll win just enough games to miss the playoffs and spend the whole offseason saying what if with all the close losses early on. but the optimist in me says we were close early on and now we're figuring out how to win.

It would be great for me because I effing hate the niners. My least favorite team in the league, by far.

Hopefully the sneaky win we got in OT is the start of a Cardinals revival. I figure with the team looking like they are improving - a win against top of the table 9ers could spark something good. I have been warned by forum members that the Cards aren't the most succesful team - so here's to optimism!! :p

This is just setting up the scenario in which the Cards barely get into the playoffs, meet that Whiners in the playoffs and take them down. I believe! Honestly, I had thought the season was over weeks ago, so anything they do now can only be good.

It's all in peaking at the right time. Hopefully that is what is happening to this team.

I have no delusions of us getting Warner hot and making a SB again this year but it'd be nice to win Sunday so I can at least think about playoff possibilities for awhile.

If nothing else it's good for the team to learn to win.

I think it'd be nice for all of us :D. I think they can win also. The Cards have to be tired of a division foe beating their as regularly. Time to take out the frustration on them by double digits.

Dream scenario for me would be winning on a pick six by Patrick Peterson or a blowout, I'm not picky.

Their defense is so good it won't be easy, but sure would make the last few weeks of the season interesting for Cards fans.

I will say this, Kolb made some plays in the second half which where good, really good and was not a matter of luck.

I'm with you on Kolb JG. He started out rusty, but improved steadily all game and played his best at the end.

This game should tell us where we stand as a team, and whether or not we have improved enough to warrant a playoff spot.

He would have looked even better if his receivers would have caught some of the balls they missed. Watched the rerun tonight and found that they dropped at least several very catchable balls.

This is a key game. Win and we've got something of a season. Lose and all the win streak has done is really ruin our draft position and provide a fun time vs Dallas.

A Cardinals team winning 8 out of 9! That would be the best since Coryell's team won 8 of 10 in 1976.

This is a 'respect' game. Win and you earn respect. Lose and the Dallas win is quickly forgotten and the spectre of division doormat to Seattle and San Francisco rears its ugly head. The media will say Dallas' poor time management at the end of regulation lost the game. Heck, they are already saying that.

With Willis and possibly Carlos Rogers out, the Cardinals offense simply has to contribute in a meaningful way. If Todd Heap can play and Andre Roberts can continue to play well, Kevin Kolb should have targets to throw to. The offense has to limit (really elminate) turnovers and contribute. Nuff said!

Agree that its a huge game, which is too bad, because its a team that's better than us, and already has our number to begin with.

Dont get me wrong, nothing would make me happier than to beat the hated niners while climbing further back into the playoff race. And I believe we've got a puncher's chance, espcially if willis is out.

But you add up all of the above, and you can see the problem. It's going to be a real letdown if SF wins, even if it's close. A loss will get the Whiz and Kolb haters stirred back up just because they'll be so disappointed.

If we lose in a blowout? Oh snap. Wouldn't want to be around here on Monday.

Come on KK, DWash, Beanie, CC, Ddock, Larry & A-dub. We need this one baby.

We need it.

I think the Cards have a great chance. Hell, they were in the game in the 2nd half and that's with Skelton's pasing chart looking like this:
