Everyone has been wondering without any knowledge what is going on and he is confirming the guy is in rehab. For the many here that were asking if he was in rehab, there is the answer. Best cards reporter we have in azThanks for confirming you are hearing what everyone in Arizona has figured out already, Jureki. It's not even a confirmation. ..just a I'm hearing tweet.
The Cardinals Outsider strikes again.
I never doubted he was in rehab.
The only thing I am worried about with him is that he won't be in shape when the season starts.
The past few years - the player on the souvenir cup has always matched the player on the game day program.
The Texans' game: Cup was Abraham, but the game day program was Lyle Sendlein.
Makes me think the cups were already made, but they had time to switch the cover of the programs.
So is he doing rehab for the public or does he really have a problem with alcohol/substance?
Pretty sad. Again, I posted in the PJ Tucker about this situation and i'll say it again- Why not hire a full time driver or at least on that is on call so this doesn't happen again. Especially a veteran that has been in the league for a long time and one that has had DUI's in the past. There would be tons of people to be dying to have this job. Not only they get paid for this, but they can say they are the "personal driver" for a professional athlete. If I could afford a driver, I would love to have one. I like to enjoy an occasional drink here and there, but with the AZ laws there is really no leniency for drinking and driving. Not to mention the risk of hurting or killing someone else.
I imagine most of the athletes with this type of lifestyle don't want to raise the concern of the teams that pay them. Especially if they get plum wasted, a designated driver employed by the club would most likely have a log sheet and at some point might be questioned. But I am with you 100% on the idea. A non-disclosure business might just thrive in these days, because these guys won't call their team mates, girlfriends, or a regular taxicab even, with the bloggers out there today.
There's a million discreet car services in every major American city. See Uber.

no one's really shocked by this, are they? this was my suspicion all along.
I was wrong. You are everyone else who thought he was in rehab were right. I understand the confidentiality aspect of this and why BA&SK did not mention it publicly. Had Abraham participated in the OTAs and mini-camps I would have been more inclined to believe he was in rehab...but the pattern of non-participation had me convinced that he had some kind of agreement with BA&SK that included their permission to miss the first couple weeks of TC.
What's curious to me still, however, was SK's statement that "it's nothing."
That's about as strong a euphemism as Keim could have used, because obviously rehab for alcoholism is a very serious matter.
So, quite honestly, Keim had me fooled...and kudos to those of you who could see through the rhetoric, when I clearly couldn't.
All this said, I hope Abraham stays in rehab as long as it takes in order to help him save his life and possibly others'. At this point his well-being is paramount.
Guy has millions of dollars, and he is in, what might be, his last season in the NFL.
If he is in rehab its for himself.
