AC/DC's Brian Johnson: Heartbreaking Letter About Being Forced to Stop Performing

n March, AC/DC shocked fans when the band abruptly canceled 20 North American and European shows after singer Brian Johnson received some crushing news from his doctors: quit performing live or face "total hearing loss." Now, as the rest of AC/DC moves forward with the questionable choice of Axl Rose to serve as the band's vocalist for the remaining Rock or Bust tour, Johnson has shared a heartbreaking letter to fans. "That was the darkest day of my professional life," he writes.

Though he can no longer perform on stage in arenas and stadiums where the "sound levels are beyond my current tolerance," he can continue recording in the studio. "I wish to assure our fans that I am not retiring. My doctors have told me that I can continue to record in studios and I intend to do that," he writes.

Would these help with the wife's snoring? :D

Separate bedrooms my man!!!
Going on 10 years now. (married for 20)

And before the jokesters arrive, there are more conjugal visits happening, than most newlyweds I know! :D

Problems avoided:

Punching each other all night because the other is snoring.

One needs a fan on at all times... one needs silence.

One likes to watch TV as they fall asleep... one needs silence.

Breaking wind under the covers where your spouse is huddled... tends to not promote intimacy. (at least in my experience)

Cover stealers? No longer an issue!

One flops around and changes positions 3 dozen times, the other sleeps peacefully throughout the night (provided they aren't being kicked, rolled over on... or twitch slapped.

We both wake up well rested almost EVERY morning! Which was definitely not the case when we shared a bed.

(potential) Downfalls:

No snuggling... She has a little sissy dog that sleeps with her.

I'm a guy, so I don't care... She get's more than enough snuggling on TV nights.

Protection.... She likes background noise when she sleeps (unless it's me snoring) So in addition to the sissy cat-dog who sleeps with her, there are 3 very protective bigger dogs slumming it on dog beds.. scattered throughout the master bedroom.

Couldn't be happier

I was lucky enough to see AC/DC for the 1st time in Dallas about a week or so before his last show...its was freaking awesome!!!

But I must say I can relate to why his hearing has been affected because my ears rang for 3 days after & my hearing didn't return to normal until about a week after. It was honestly the loudest concert I've ever been too, especially sitting on the floor about 50 feet from the stage.
