Not advocating that Schefter knows anything, but he seemed pretty convincing and even mentioned the Cards rumor that even though Arizona is high on Peterson, they will also bypass him he could fall all the way to #10 to the Texans.

I don't think that he gets by Washington at #6. If they don't take him for themselves, they would love to unload the pick to someone who wants him.

Anyone else think Schefter had the exact same speech teacher as the female reporter than Namath wanted to kiss. Forgot her name.

Anyone ever see Schefter and Pariah in the same place? Interesting.
Actually, lots of people have.

That said, no one has ever seen me and Rick Reilly in the same place.

BTW, you should go out and by the best book ever written. I can't say enough good things about my--er, I mean, Reilly's book. It's a masterpiece:

Somewhere in his system of gathering info someone decided that they were going to be mr. i told you so. This will not happen. Where would all the BPA proponents be if that occurred?

Why do you keep "calling out" BPA proponents?

Where would I be? I'd be on my couch saying the Texans just got the steal of the draft, ala Leinart last year to the Cardinals.

There are no way All Day gets past Falcons. He probably even go higher but if was to fall to Atlanta they would just have to take him.

Dunn and Norwood are not born for Petrinos system and Peterson would clearly be best player available.

He just cannot get out of top ten.

Listing to Tony Bruno's show yesterday. He was interviewing the senior writer for Ourlads.com. The guy stated the exact same thing: That he believed Peterson would fall to #10.

Take it for what it's worth. He said that he sources in the Browns organization and Peterson wasn't in their top 3. He said that there wasn't any clear team before Houston that would take them. He mentioned the Cardinals by name, and said he didn't think we would take him, though it was possible.

He said that Houston is holding out hope for this very scenario.

I doubt Washington would take him, since they already have Portis and Betts. What wont surprise me is if they take an O-lineman. They have had a dominent one for a long time, but Chris Samuels and Jon Jansen are both old and within a few years of retiring and Dockery left FA. Overall, I still expect them to trade down if Adams is gone.

I believe that there is no answer to need/bpa. It is of course an opinion. If I were responsible for making a pick I would blend both elements. From a team's point of view it is easier to determine need than who the bpa is?
On our team is there any questions what our biggest need is? Say we selected Johnson, whom I feel is the BPA do you believe, for the Cardinals right now, his impact would be greater than taking Thomas?

Many more sophistacted football men lean far more to bpa. I am aware of that, but I still have my point of view. Again, if you listen to some of the commentary after the draft, the BPA guys will always bring need into the equation.

With Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts, I wouldn't think he would be a priority.

They need DLs.
