Why couldn't Kindle play the WILB position? He's the same size as Dansby and just as fast.

People seem to think just about any over the hill NFL MLB and any of several other college LBs who have never played WILB in a 3-4 could do it easily so why not Kindle?

It is a possibility but Kindle has a long ways to go to fit into coverage schemes in a 3-4 OLB position, he would have even further to go at 3-4 WILB position. Plus wouldnt you be taking away what Kindle does best, rushing the passer, if he is playing in the middle?

I don't think Kindle has been that great at rushing the passer but that's just me. In watching him this year he just looked a lot more like Dansby than Bertran Berry.

But then I watch Texas every Saturday and then the Cards every Sunday and not much other football, other than the occasional Titans game and the last two minutes of several early NFL games, so my perception may be a little slanted.

I also noted that at least one draft sight has mentioned that Kindle is fluid enough that "teams are intrigued by his agility in coverage..."

Like I said though I'm probably the only person who feels this way. With the importance and scarcity of 3-4 Outside rush LBs there's no way Kindle doesn't get drafted to play there.
