Animals attending sporting events is nothing new, and the same goes for animals invading sports during competition — but usually it's more along the lines of an alligator on a golf course, a cat on a soccer field or a squirrel on a football field.

And usually, these moments are delightful interruptions, which is one of the many reasons we here at For The Win love when this happens. And that includes an adorable dog seemingly having the time of its life while running around the outfield during a softball game.

The pup ran around the outfield before lying down next to North Alabama outfielder Gyvan Hammons and getting some belly rubs from the Lions. Eventually, Hammons carried the dog off the field, but what a charming, unexpected moment.
