A little bit of A-Dub news. My step dad works for a company called SportCourts (do artificial turf/basketball courts/tennis courts/etc.) and this week they are doing something in Adrian Wilsons backyard. Anyway, him and his boss were talking with A-Dub today a little bit and A-Dub said he feels like a new contract will be reached within the next two weeks, just dotting the i's right now.

On a funnier side, I guess my dad's boss said "its a good thing you didn't pull the Rosenhaus card" and Adrian just looked at him and rolled his eyes saying (word for word) "Drew Rosenhaus is the scum of this earth." I laughed my arse off when my step dad called and told me that. Just thought I'd share my funny story.

Watching Adrian in another uniform would be more painful than watching Otis Anderson run as a Giant. Lock him up.

Not to bust any bubbles but we had an update from Mike Jurecki posted two weeks ago that Wilson said they are making good progress and should have a signed contract in two weeks. So now two weeks later and we are still two weeks away. Oh well, but IMO Wilson is going to stay a Cardinal and will be extended before training camp opens.

Hey, I bought my #24 and wore it to every home game last season. We made the SB.

Ignore Duckjake, get your AW jersey.

Is it red ?

Can't for the life of me, find a red Adrian Wilson jersey.

:(

The really sweet thing is not only are the Cardinals extending players, heck they did that earlier in the decade with mediocre players like L.J. Shelton, but that they are extending pro-bowl players like Adrian Wilson, Larry Fitzgerald, Kurt Warner, and hopefully, Anquan Boldin.

It's all about keeping the core intact IMO, and drafting the players to fill out the roster. So not only are Ken Whisenhunt and company coaching up the talent on the roster, but the front office is actually acquiring and keeping the talent to succeed.

It probably would have been done sooner but a monkey wrench was thrown into the mix. That monkey wrench being the possible 2011 lockout. It became a monkey wrench because the deal the two sides liked the most gave Wilson a bonus in 2011. Wilsons side realized this conundrum that if there is a lockout in 2011, Wilson would then not recieve that bonus, so they went back to the table to negotiate some contingency wording in the contract to make make up for that possibility. And thats where they are at right now, like Wilson said crossing I's and dotting T's. From the people I talk to the deal is pretty much done, unless something drastic happens it is a certianty that Wilson will be locked up long term and get to retire as a Cardinal.

I didnt want to post that info but Jurecki brought it up himself yesterday.

Also on Dansby the paper thin confidence of re-signing Dansby after he fired his agent some weeks back is actually becoming more and more condfident every week after each negotiating session with his new agent. The once 10% chance of re-signing has grown to grown to 50% now. But some are still not sure that is enough to get something done by July 15th, but progress is without a doubt being made.

I know a large population on this board think he is as good as gone, but I have always seen players take cash in hand over the promise of a big payday tomorrow. So if the numbers are close, I still see no reason Dansby won't resign. To me it is just aligning the values Dansby and the team see his performance at.

I too, love A-Dub. Wasn't really a question whose jersey I'd be buying when I picked one up (finally) last year.
