A lot of people have been down on the pass rush and particularly W. Bryant. I watched the game again last night and Bryant was close to getting a sack several times. In fact he knocked the crap out of Joey on a play early in the first quarter just as Joey was throwing to his outlet valve..dont remember which back it was. Thy backup for Detroit, McMahon was warming up. This was a very good offensive line and Joey H. was only sacked 8 times last year which shows how good he is at getting rid of the ball. Bryant and Pace were close on quite a few of occasions but Harrington got rid of it.

We are okay.....could be better but we will fix the mistakes and drive on! We win against Seattle!

I watched the game again myself twice but on fast forward tivo is awesome.

Both Bryant and Pace did well Wakefield was ok on the run but got no push but thats not unusual. King did well but just wiffed on sacks due to being a rookie he was there just hasn't figured out what to do when he gets there yet.

I think our D line will be good especially if Bell comes back. King Pace Bell and Bryant would be very good I think.

Harrington really senses sacks and gets rid of the ball well plus his O line is very good at pass blocking. When you add all that up plus possibly having our blitz schemes and calls it's a wonder they even got close.

Close only counts in horse shoes, and hand grenades.

And most of that happened in 1st half. They completely dissapeared in the 2nd half, and that is where they needed to step up.

I am still not convinced this defense can cut it. The need to cause turnovers and make big plays in Seattle. If they do the minimum like they did last week we will get CRUSHED!

Regardless he did pop Harrington!

When did Blake take that hit on the false start? 2nd quarter or third quarter? Do you recall?

Not sure..I did notice that with 8 minutes left when Blake ran out of bounds the clock kept running, we lost almost a minute. If we would have mounted a comeback that would have really hurt us. Don't they have someone watching the clock? it happened 2 times against the Cards in the game.

according to last night it's a new rule, the clock doesn't stop until the 5 minute mark? I had never heard of it but they said it last night.

What? A wide out when out of bounds on the next play and they stopped the clock....not consistant.

It surprised me too but McNabb ran out and they let the clock run while Michaels explained the rule.

Anybody?

In the 4th quarter...more than 5 minutes to go in the game the clock continues to run on out-of-bounds plays (Incomplete passes, change of possesion, etc not effected) inside 5 minutes, out-of-bounds plays the clock stops and is restarted on the snap of the ball.

That clears it up, thanks.

I think that if the player is forced out of bounds, the clock still runs (before the last 5 min of each half). If the player runs out of bounds, the clock stops until the ball is re-set. I think.

How about Joey J.? That kid is a player. I feel real bad about his kid, but Joey J. can ball.

Before the final 5 minutes of each half if a player goes out of bounds the clock stops and then restarts once the ball is set.

During the final 5 minutes of each half the Clock stops when a player goes out of bounds and doesn't restart until the ball is snapped.

My understanding of Al Micheals' explanation was that the clock should stop until the ball is brought back and set. Then the refs start the 25 second play clock. If this is correct, time ran off the clock inadvertantly(?) that shouldn't have.

Within 5 minutes the clock stops until the ball is snapped.

I am not sure if it only applies to the 4th quarter. Anyone, know for sure?

Endzone,

I rewatched the game twice already and slowed it down on a few occasions. You are very much correct IMO! Pace and Bryant actually had good games! They applied pressure many times its just Harringtons pocket presence especially for a second year QB is really pretty amazing!

Those same plays would have been sacks against many other QBs in this league!
