Greedy Williams.... period. This kid will.be an elite CB for a decade.

Hey, I hit it right on Kirk in the 2nd round last year. I am even more certain on Greedy Williams. He is so, so talented. If anything, more physically gifted.than PP21.

Not bullshitting. The kid us that good.

Greedy is really good but Patick Peterson at LSU was in a diffrent planet good.

I loved Cyrus Koundijo coming out. Jax drafted the last LT from Bama and he played well, started, as a rookie but was injured this year.

But they took him in round 2.

Ty Nsekhe is good. He took an awkward path to the NFL, but I watched him shut down Clowney this year when Trent Williams was out. He is older, but he seems to consistently be available.

The tough part is what to do with the OT position. I'm pretty sure Cunningham can play RT and be decent. If that is the case, Neshke makes a bunch of sense because he can play both. Glowinski has been good at OG for the Colts this year. There will also be cuts. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Raiders cut Osemele.

I haven't really dug into the class yet, but initially I didn't see linemen who I loved in the top 10. Maybe that has changed, but we will see.

In terms of difference makers, I don't know that there are a ton. Maybe it is because there are so many good defensive linemen. I know Bosa and Williams should be locks if available. I don't know enough about Ed Oliver in terms of his actual size. His film will need to look like Aaron Donald's if he is indeed the same size.

Gotta do a better job identifying talent. I don’t believe anyone in the world other than Keim thought Andre Smith was a good signing.

I can cherry pick the other way too . . . how did it work for the rams?
Problem is premier OLinemen do not come available. Closest they've had is Veldher. He was serviceable for awhile. They need a real influx of hard nosed talent there. Only one real way to do it. Invest in young committed, talented, successful individuals. Identify and draft. If they don't fit the criteria, then take BPA.

I know a lot of people love Q. William's but he looked a little slow to me off the ball when I was watching him vs. Ga. Meanwhile Jonah was pretty impressive overall. Don't think that would be a mistake considering were trying to develop the franchise. Adding Jonah and Celeb makes a lot of sense.

I don't care who we draft in rd 1.

I just pray to God it's someone other than Keims pick.
Even if he's still the GM...seriously...He needs to just go with Mayock's BPA and move on, especially if alcohol is involved.

Maybe he should just ask the real Director of Security for the Cardinals who he favors?

If Williams can play LT in NFL then I would be okay with him at #4 but scouts feel he is more of a RT or G. I know I was against him a couple of weeks ago but looking at our current OL situation ANY draft pick will be an improvement. We will be paying Humphries $9.5M for 9 games next season as he most likely continue is annual tradition of ending up on IR.

I checked his purported measurables. 6"5" 296 lbs. Let's see what combine numbers are. Rarely do 6'5" guys kick inside IIRC. Please no inside guys at 1-4.

Williams is a player that you trade back in the draft and then take. He is not worthy of a top 8 pick.

I need to watch the guy play but at only 296 that screams finesse guy. The last finesse guy we took in the top ten didn’t turn out very well.

If things get boring...

Try this exercise:

Analyze teams with the top 5 OL's (use any rating method you want to).

- What do these 5 OL's have in common? How were they built? (high draft, low draft, FA, trades)?

- Do the linemen have physical/atletic sinilarities? (road graders, played in same college conferences or under certain coaches)?

- Smart guys or dummies? Physical or cerebral?

- Pro line coach?

- Zone or Man run blocking?

In short - how do these successful teams profile and what can we learn from this?

Jawaan Taylor of Florida is rising to the top of the left tackle prospect list by being the least flawed of the top prospects.

Left tackle has become the hardest position to draft. There are no sure things coming out of college.

it is. one would think with the nfl changing rules to prolong QB's that an OT's job would get easier.
But surprising enough,...on TNF the announcers were saying the league actually told the officials they need to call more holding penalties......I would have guessed they would actually loosten the restrictions a bit to protect the QB.... and with teams moving pass rushers around the RT actually needs to be about as athletic and nimble as the LT these days...

I still think of an oline in old school terms....nimble, light and agile pass protectors on the left with huge road grader hog maulers on the right... but the modern nfl is changing those requirements... I think we will see more of two nimble OT's with road graders filling out the inside.... or the huge man on a man hog mauler olinemen will just go extinct entirely

just read a .... concerning.... scouting blurb from the SI mock draft

basically on Jonah .. should play right tackle, probably better at right guard

if the top ranked tackle in the draft is considered a better guard......

I wouldn't take him if they don't think he can play LT, I have a feeling he will be over 300 pounds at Combine. Scouting reports say he is a technician but won't wow you with athletic ability, not exactly a ringing endorsement. He is being hyped up because he plays at ALA but he did face some pass rushers playing in SEC and especially on the practice field. What makes me leery is the track record of ALA OL in the NFL, most of them were 5 star recruits who played well in college but couldn't hold up in the pros. As someone mentioned, this year's OT class up top looks weak. Williams was top guy but may not play LT, Little is an underachiever, and Jawaan Taylor may not be mobile enough to play LT in NFL. ARZ may have to wait until next year's draft to find their LT when Trey Adams (hopefully he stays healthy) comes out. Most of the OT's this year are more likely to end up at RT, Andre Dillard has the feet to play LT but needs to get stronger.

Let's see how Williams holds up against Clemson DL when they meet (possibly) in the Playoff Finals.

He played great against the same Clemson DL last year for what it’s worth.
