Pops is a tremendous coach. But you know as well as I do that he is phil jackson's bitch. '01 4-0, '02 4-1, '04 4-2 (coming back from 0-2), '08 4-1.

The one time pop won in '03 was when he had the FAR superior team and they still were an in and out horry 3 from the lakers winning that one. It's not just that they beat the spurs but the way they have done it.

If the spurs can avoid the lakers they have a chance, otherwise 0 chance. They got whupped last year and the lakers had no bynum (ginobili was hurting, so maybe a wash but still lakers had the 4-1 advantage).

i don't think (right now) this Laker squad is as good as last year's though. And don't forget that beat up Spurs team kept getting 20 point leads on the Lakers only to wear out and lose... not to mention that series should have been tied at 2 after the Lakers got away with murder on the Fisher no-call at the end of Game 4.

Boston is looking more like an average team this past 2 games. They lost to the Warriors without 2 of the Warriors scorers.
