He almost went into obscurity and now is in the process of reviving his NFL career.

Don't forget Calais and Beanie. The Cardinals are doing things the right way finally. Continuing the draft playmakers while keeping the proven vets. This team has talented youth, prime players, and veterans.

Kudos to Rod Graves and Whisenhunt. And you guys that have been around awhile know that it takes a lot for me to say that.

Alan Branch is a Bust(in') Eli's face!!!

Seriously, I think it is huge that Branch, Campbell, Robinson, Watson and Dockett can rotate to stay fresh and not wear down in the 4th quarter.

agreed. now if we could only get GOOD offensive linemen. they nutted up tonight and played decently, but i'd love to see what beanie could do with a big gaping hole!

I agree. Then again, we DID let go of Antonio...oh, what the heck was his name again? Dang it! Every time I think stud 3-4 end, I keep coming back to...Antonio...CAMPBELL? Dang it, who was that other guy we let go? Hehehehehe.

The #1 difference between Whisenhunt and all our other coaches in the AZ is that players get better every week.

PS: No kudos to Graves. Levi Brown is still awful and All Day is still great. The Davis-Brown-AP deal remains one of the all-time worst personnel blunders.

Thankfully Jason Tuck went out or Leinart would be starting against Carolina next week.

Obviously there's still holes in the roster. But how many teams in today's NFL can you not say that about? The difference between the former Cards and us good teams is that we have enough elsewhere to overcome it.

But we absolutely need a serious upgrade at the OT level... this offense will be unstoppable if we have even a slightly better OL.

Agreed, but to credit Rod Graves he did draft and acquire enough elsewhere well enough to mask that stupid maneuver. A stud OT is the next piece.

But your point remains - most guys just get better every week. Antrel Rolle to me is Example A, who like Branch is another former "bust" draft pick.

We asked for Branch to show up, and we got the whole TRUNK. I agree with DuckJake on this call. TRUNK is a perfect nick-name for Branch. So far as I am concerned, TRUNK IT IS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing. Branch has some making up to do, so I'd like to see what he has at LG as well as his usual DE next week :)

A case of lining a player up where he's strongest.
They wanted him to be a NT, but clearly it wasn't working.
He is an absolute freak on the end though.
Let's see him flourish!

I was blown away at the speed he showed in catching Eli, not that Eli is quick but a man of Branch's, err Trunk's physique usually doesn't move that fast.
