From Aussie Rules football to the NBA?
That's the potential path for Florida basketball forward Alex Condon as the Gators continue their run into the Final Four of the 2025 men's NCAA Tournament. Condon held only offers from Florida, Utah, and Saint Mary's, hailing from Perth, Australia.

Yet, when the Gators played Auburn earlier this season, Condon was tasked with guarding SEC Player of the Year Johni Broome. Condon began playing Australian rule football but did enough to garner interest from Florida coach Todd Golden and his staff.
Condon has since worked himself into the Gators' starting lineup and has been integral to the program's return to its first Final Four since 2014, despite playing with a sprained ankle over the last few games.
