We need to sign someone, and in Grave's behalf, some decent players have been waived the last two days.

Well.... I hope he's on the phone..... there have been a couple atleast worth taking a look at...... and we have the most cap space.... if they are worthy, get them in and pay them....reasonably of course

Sounds Good!

The Redskins are deep at CB. So he might be decent!

Is everything
I like Alex Molden. Molden and McDaniel look to be the class of the available CB's right now. We hope we make a move soon and don't drop this opportunity by waiting till after week 1. These guys won't be around then.

I would imagine RG is playing Madden 2004 as somebody else suggested. That means he won't have time to look at or talk to any CBs that have been cut.

Of course he looking into it, what do you think he is doing ??

GET EM!

1. Molden
2. McNiel
3. Mc Daniel

We actually should get at least 2 if not all 3!

This is ridiculuous! All three are solid CB, and Molden has great ptotential!

Peace

I said that he was probably playing Madden, and I still think that. He's said that he's probably not going to do anything until after Week 1, for "salary-cap concerns," which, in my opinion, is the greatest amount of horse manure that I've ever heard when applied to this team.

By that time, most of these players are going to be gone. It's just a fact. Look at how quickly the other middling corners were snatched up in free agency.

If we wait until the second week in September, we're not going to be signing anyone.

Close, but that's not exactly what Graves said, at least in the interview I heard last Friday (8/23). Transcribed from the tape:

RG: "Right now, we've looked over the waiver wires and all of those guys who are on the street right now, and we're not tempted to make a decision on anything at this point. So we'll just keep looking... but I think if there's a chance of us making any moves--and I feel fairly confident that we will--it'll probably be around the 53 cut and into the first week of the season...

"We haven't ruled anything out, right now, with respect to trades or anything of that nature, but I think more than likely we're just talking about picking up guys that are released from their contracts and we'll try our best to try to secure those guys once that happens."

If you're gonna rip a guy, and imply that he spends his days playing video games--as opposed to, say, posting to an Internet bulletin board--you should at least quote him accurately.

WC - He's been quoted multiple times as saying that he wasn't going to make a move with a veteran until after Week one in order to be "responsible with the salary cap". That quote is all over this board, but I'm too lazy to look for it. He's said it.

Frankly, if I didn't have to go to work, or was the boss here, I'd spend all day playing video games, too. But, then again, if I were a GM, I wouldn't be waiting around for players to get cut, and then waiting another week. I'd be working to make my team better right now, being proactive, because I hold the hearts of at least 25,000 hard-core fans in my hands.

I would say we have to try and bring in Molden..I am not that high on some of the other guys out there (Emmanuel Mcdaniel, otis smith, etc.).

I would speculate that there will be a corner or two go next week who are decent....one more round of cuts to go and in theory the best players will be cut on the last round.

Example: the houston texans have 7 veteran cornerbacks still on their roster..As I posted here, I wanted to trade thomas jones to them for one of the them (which in hindsight - may have been a good idea). 2 of the 7 will have to go..

Having said that..I would be all over having molden out for a visit..Gambodoro on 910 am said the cards will have either molden or mcdaniel in for a visit - not sure if he was speculating or knows something...doubt he knows something - jurecki would find out first.
