SWD, I've always thought highly of you, but I'm going to disagree on the context of this thread.

Larry Fitzgerald has been one of the greatest players this franchise has ever had. Regardless of who COULD have been picked, I'd still take Fitz 10 times out of 10.

Thanks DJ. I really was just poking fun at the fans that celebrate such meaningless wins lol.

The only thing I cant stand more than being the most successfull franchise in NFL history when it comes to the last 6 weeks (when its meaningless) are the fans that support the behavior! :)

If we had the #1 pick I would bet the ranch Denny Green would still have taken Fitz.

Again, so what? Fitz is, even in this down year, a top 3 wide receiver. Are you trying to say Fitz has been a bust here? Wow. It's amazing seeing people turn on one of the best players in this game then these same people will be bitching when he walks. No wonder and I wouldn't blame him one bit.

SD drafted Manning and traded to Giants for Rivers. I am of course assuming the same trade would be made.
But we could have drafted Rivers if we had wanted. We didn't have to be quitters to do it. At what point do you decide to give up? Are we supposed to hope that our team loses the moment that they are eliminated from the playoffs? Mathematically or just when it makes sense, like this year? I mean, if we win out and the other teams in the division lose out we will win the division. We know it won't happen so do we root for the team to lose?

7 years later and you are still try justify what a complete and utter jackass you made of yourself after that game and it didn't cost us a thing. You were wrong. We won the game, showed some pride at the end of the season and still had our choice of the best players in the draft.

that pales in comparison to cutting Matt Leinart with a 110+ QB rating, going 19 out 24 on this miserable excuse for a football team this preseason.

Matt out played every QB in the NFL this preseason with out an Oline, run game or defense. and was treated like the anti christ. smooth move ex lax.

not theory, fact while Whiz did everything possible to put Matt in the worse position to succeed. fact at this point.

Haha I agree with you there. Was a nice win, but realistically it was a positive exclamation mark on an otherwise crappy season.

Just can't assume anything in this sport. Look at Peyton right now for example. Fully seasoned, HOF, 4X MVP Peyton is still struggling on a bad team. None of the woulda, coulda, shoulda's could be counted on replicating what they did with other teams if the Cardinals had drafted them instead.

True, but still funny in that Peyton's game against SD would be a GOOD game for DeWreck Anderson.

What we wouldn't give for our bad team to be 6-5 tied for first and have our QB with a 65% completion rate, 22 TDs to 11 INTs and a passer rating of 90.8.

You know what stat really jumps out at you comparing Indy with Arizona? The Colts have allowed 13 sacks so far this season. The Cards? 36.

As for the coulda, shoulda, woulda, if it hadn't been for that Josh McCown TD pass and the Monday Night Meltdown vs the Bears we would have never had the CKW and Kurt Warner combination allowing us to watch the Cards win an NFC Championship game in our building.

Greatest sports event of my life and being a lifetime St.Louis Cardinal baseball fan and Longhorns fan that's saying something.
