I know Ron Artest is a lunatic, but I can't believe they left him off the first team.

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Detroit's Ben Wallace and San Antonio's Tim Duncan led the NBA All-Defensive team announced Thursday.

Wallace, the two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, got 27 first-place votes and 55 points to top the voting. He led the NBA in rebounding (15.4) and finished second in blocks (3.14).

Two-time league MVP Duncan received 44 points, earning a spot on the team for the fifth consecutive season. He ranked third in the league in rebounding (12.9) and blocks (2.93).

Also on the first team were Minnesota's Kevin Garnett (47 points), Sacramento's Doug Christie (38) and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant (35). Bryant and Garnett also made the All-NBA first team.

Garnett was second in the league in rebounding (13.4) and 17th in blocks (1.57); Christie had a team-high 180 steals and finished fourth in the league in that category (2.25) to earn his first selection on the first-team; Bryant was third in the NBA with a career-high 181 steals and ranked sixth in steals (2.21).

The All-Defensive second team: Indianapolis' Ron Artest, San Antonio's Bruce Bowen, the Lakers' Shaquille O'Neal, New Jersey's Jason Kidd and Philadelphia's Eric Snow.

Problem is that they listed him as a F. Same for Shawn Marion.

Eric Snow, Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant on the all defense 1st and 2nd teams??

Wallace, KG, Duncan, Artest, Christie would be my first team
Shaq, Marion, Kirilenko, Bowen, Kobe would probably be my second team.

Amare got a vote... lol
At times his defense was very good this season it definately improved but he doesn't deserve votes for the full season.
