He's started 97 of a possible 98 games during his career. He becomes the fifth different Bruin to be honored as Pac-10 Player of the Year, joining Marques Johnson (1977), David Greenwood (1978, 79), Kenny Fields (1983) and Ed O'Bannon (1995).

BUDINGER becomes the first Wildcat to earn Pac-10 Freshman of the Year since Salim Stoudamire in 2002, and the fifth Wildcat overall to earn the rookie honor. Congrats to Afflalo, one of my favorite Bruins ever. Hope he stays, doubt he does.

Congrats to Collison too for making the first team.

Can't say I disagree with any of the selections, the only one up for debate is FOY and Chase has just as much an argument as Hawes, Lopez, and Anderson. Stanford could be scary good next year if Brook Lopez stays, not offering Law Hill a scholarship (thanks again Pastner!) might go down as one of the biggest blunders in Arizona Basketball history.

The weird thing is Budinger is not named all pac 10 and it says there's only 9 because nobody else got named on 50% of the ballots. Yet Budinger is FOY and not listed as a honorable mention when Lopez IS honorable mention?

I'm guessing they messed up and Chase is supposed to be honorable mention?

I'd have had him and Brook Lopez co FOY but no real argument. hawes and Anderson both had great years, Gibson would have been there too but he faded midyear.

Next year the Pac 10 is going to be insane. I keep hearing that Brook is staying, and a lot of people saw Hawes will too. If that's true it's going to be insane how many good bigmen will be in the conference.

Stanf-lopez twins
Cal-Anderson and probably Hardin
ASU-Pendergraph and Boateng(not a huge fan of him myself)
Arizona- Jordan Hill shows promise
WSU- Baynes is really coming on suddenly
USC- Gibson still the only bigman
UCLA-Love
UW-Brockman and maybe Hawes

Oregon and OSU figure to be the only teams with no legit bigman and I guess if I count Gibson I should count Leunen from Oregon?

Pastner wanted Fendi instead. Hopefully Fendi will contribute next year.

Congrats to Chase. He should get even better next year. Maybe "Player of the Year?" Congrats also to Marcus, Ivan and Shakur. 24 straight years with at least one Cat on the all-Pac 10 team is impressive.
