Draft a ILB like Shaq Thompson or Eric Kendricks(both of these guys are great in coverage unlike Perryman, Anthony, & McKinney(he's alright but his movement is so awkward). Dawson is good at it too, but it would be a reach in the first over a RB in the first.) Do you think Weatherspoon will make it through the season? I hope so!
Keep in mind, this is a very stacked RB class so there will be pretty of talented RBs in the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. I like Gurley a lot, but I'm just concerned of us taking a RB coming off an ACL(Yes I know ACLs aren't what they were 10-15 years ago, but still). I'm not fully sold on Gordon either.

I think Thompson would be a great pick because he's great in coverage, great sideline-to-sideline guy, good athleticism, his weakest era is stopping the run, but he's still pretty decent at that. He also has the ability to play safety. Imagine him in a big nickel package, mannnnnn. I would be fine with Kendricks too.

Only popular pass-rusher I see making it to us is Eli Harold. I would be fine with that too, but there is also some decent pass rushers in the 2nd.

Shaq Thompson and Deone Buccanon are frankly the same player in our defensive scheme. I love the guy, and say we take him if he is BPA somewhere but not as a "need."

I'd be fine with that. Some of these 2nd/3rd round RBs are intriguing although the Cardinals have bad voodoo with 2nd round backs.

I am all about best player available, I think if one of the top OLB's drop they are BPA. I would love to pick up Fowler, Ray, Gregory, Dupree or Beasley drop I think we pick them. Personally I would love to see Beasley and think there is at least a chance he or Dupree is there.

If all the OLB's are picked, I would like to see a trade down to around #32 (similar to last year). Otherwise I really only like Todd Gurley at #25.

From there I think you could pick any of the 4 ILB's (Kendricks, Thompsen, Mckinney, or Dawson), I think they are all good. I like McKinney by a hair over Kendricks, but mainly because I would like to keep Washington and play McKinney next to him. Even though we got Iupati, I think L'ael Collins, Cameron Erving and Andrus Peat all look good around #32. I would also consider another trade down to load up on 2nd and 3rd round picks.

In the 2nd and 3rd I like: RBs galore: Gordon, Yeldon, and Coleman. OT Ogbuehi, Oregon CB Ifo Ekpre Olumu. Pass rusher Eli Harold. CB Marcus Peters.

Late round I like: ASU DE Marcus Hardison, RB Buck Allen, Nick Marshall from Auburn as a CB, and maybe take a flyer on Bryce Petty as a late QB.

I don't believe that you are alone at all in this thinking. I have seen several 'expert' mock drafts that have indicated the same sentiments as you do. I too like the idea of drafting Kendricks or Thompson with our #24 pick. Either would be very complimentary to the FA signing of Sean Weatherspoon in my opinion, and would provide great depth and talent at the ILB position for years to come. In fact, we may actually be able to trade back a few spots to take one of these selections, and add an additional pick somewhere in our draft.

Eric Kendricks may be a good pick in the 1st round.

I also like Kwon Alexander in the later rounds of the draft.

Shaq Thompson jack of all trades master of none. He doesn't dominste at anyone one position pretty much everything I've seen had his out of the first round.

In my opinion round one should be for offensive line help. A pass rushing OLB or defensive line

Cam Erving
Malcolm Brown
Bud Dupree.

We're pretty set at OL, & I hate spending first rounds picks on an OL.
I think we should go OLB/Pass-Rusher, ILB(If Irving doesn't sign & I can't trust Weatherspoon making it through a season for now), & DL.

I like Eric Kendricks for this system a ton. He's like what we thought we were getting in The Ghost.
